Pownce 1.0

Pownce 1.0

Pownce is a way to send messages, files, links, and events to your friends more>>
Pownce is a way to send messages, files, links, and events to your friends. Youll create a network of the people you know and then you can share stuff with all of them, just a few of them, or even just one other person really fast.

Right now, there are four basic things you can send: messages, links, files, and events. You might send an event out to a dozen of your friends letting them know youre hosting a party this Friday. They could easily get the event details you entered, respond with questions or comments and then quickly rsvp.

Say you had a great photo you wanted to share with all of your friends. Just add the file and all of your friends will get it right away. Theyll be able to reply and tell you if its cool. You can even post songs you recorded in your home studio to share with your friends.

Only the people you choose get to see what you sent. Kind of like CCing an email, only recipients can see and respond to what you send.

You can make public notes too that (you guessed it) the public at large can read and respond to.

BitWise Routing Server 1.7.1

BitWise Routing Server 1.7.1

The Routing Server allows multiple PCs behind a router to make direct connections more>>
The Routing Server allows multiple PCs behind a router to make direct connections.
It allows you to accept BitWise connections to multiple computers behind a router. Typically, using a router, you would set up port forwarding on BitWises client port (4137), and specify a single destination IP. This is fine until multiple users behind a router all need to accept incoming connections.
As shown by the picture at right, the Routing Server allows individual users to register themselves with the Routing Server, and then the Routing Server accepts all incoming connections and directs those connections to the appropriate user.
The Routing Server requires that your physical router support port forwarding with a way to specify different external and internal ports (this is sometimes labeled "UPnP" by many common home routers).
Enhancements:
- Voice chat ringing sound will now play every 8 seconds (like a phone rings repeatedly).
- Tooltip on contact list groups show how many contacts are online in that group.
- Allows simultaneous login into two different Professional Networks with the same username.
- Fix auto-login for BitWise Professional users (any Network ID > 0).
- Setup window and conference invitation window take keyboard focus when opened.
- Dont process additional /mes after the first one.
- Fix auto-receive when a directory already exists with the name of the file being received.
- Various wording tweaks and modifications to make the interface more friendly and/or consistent.
- Updated Speex to version 1.0.5 from version 1.0.4 on all platforms.
- Updated Expat to version 2.0.0 from 1.95.8 on Windows and Mac (Linux uses system Expat).
- Updated wxWidgets to version 2.6.3 from 2.6.2 on Windows and Linux, to version 2.7.x on Mac.
- Windows: Fixed first letter typed in a new message window from being in the default Windows font.
- Windows: The setting for BitWise to control a dial-up connection is now disabled by default.
- Mac: First version to natively support both Intel and PPC processors with a universal binary.

TeXShop 2.26

TeXShop 2.26

A great Tex previewer, for Mac OS X, written in Cocoa. more>> A great Tex previewer, for Mac OS X, written in Cocoa.

TeXShop is a very useful tool, a TeX previewer for Mac OS X, written in Cocoa.
Since pdf is a native file format on OS X, TeXShop uses "pdftex" and "pdflatex" rather than "tex" and "latex" to typeset; these programs in the standard teTeX distribution of TeX produce pdf output instead of dvi output.
TeX is a typesetting program by Donald Knuth, used extensively in mathematics, computer science, physics, economics, and other fields.
For a history of the development of TeX, see Just What Is TeX. Consult the TeX Users Group Web Site for additional information.
To use TeXShop, you need to learn TeX or LaTeX.

Enhancements
- The TeXShop/Engines/Inactive folder contains two scripts from Daniel Becker which call texcount to count active words in a TeX source file. These engines were promised in 2.25 but erroneously omitted. They are in 2.26. To obtain them, quit TeXShop and move the entire Engines folder from ~/Library/TeXShop to the Desktop. Then restart TeXShop. TeXShop will create a new Engines folder. Merge in any changes you have made in the old Engines folder on the desktop to the new folder.
- Juan Luis Varona sent new Program and Encoding macros which display the various choices, so it is not necessarily to look up the wording of these choices. A few days later, Ramon M. Figueroa-Centeno send similar but fancier macros. Ramons macros are now in TeXShop. To obtain them, quit TeXShop and move the entire Macros folder from ~/Library/TeXShop to the Desktop. Then restart TeXShop. TeXShop will create a new Macros folder. Merge in any changes you made to the old Macros on the desktop to the new copy, using the Macro Editor.
- A memory leak introduced by the code to split the Preview window in 2.25 is fixed. The bug was similar to the old flaw in PDFKit which caused memory to be gradually used up when typesetting a document many times, but this time the bug was caused by me.
- A bug in the zoom code for the preview window when using multiple monitors is fixed.
- A bug which caused TeXShop to ignore a "% !TEX TS-program = ..." command when typesetting from a file with an associated root file is fixed.
- The French localization is improved.
- A localization error caused the "Split Window" icon on the Preview Window toolbar to display strange text. This is fixed.
- A bug caused the Preview Windows toolbar to vanish temporarily if the user tried to move certain text portions of the toolbar. This is fixed.
- One of the keyboard zoom shortcuts acted only on the top portion of the Preview window when split. This is fixed.
- The TeX mdimporter code distributed with TeXShop in 2.25 contained only i386 code. Now it contains code for both PPC and i386.
