Roland USB MIDI Interface Driver is a driver I adapted from Apples source code to support the following MIDI interfaces under OS X:
• Roland S-MPU64
• Roland PC-300
• Roland UM-1
• Roland UM-2

Note that the offical Roland drivers are now available, so youll probably want to use them and only come back to mine if you have problems.

SIDPLAY 4.1.3 is a helpful Commodore 64 music player which can emulate the sound chip and other internals of the Commodore 64 home computer to play back music that was originally written on it. The sound chip of the C64 is called the "Sound Interface Device" or SID, and therefore this music is known as SID music. The SID chip is basically a three voice synthesizer on a chip. The unusual combination of digital and analogue circuitry is the reason for its distinctive sound.

PresentMovie plays QuickTime compatible movies (.mov, .mpg or VCDs) stretched to fill the full screen. I wrote PresentMovie to allow my children to more easily view QT movies or VCDs without having to go throught the multiple steps required in QuickTime Player Pro.

With PresentMovie you simply drag movies (or a folder containing movies) to the application icon and theyre shown immdeiately.

Enhancements:
- MIDI Hardware: Access to MIDI hardware is gained over the Mac OS X standard known as "Core MIDI". This means that OMS, MidiManager and MidiShare is no longer needed. For the Unitor8 MkII, AMT8 and MT4, a Core MIDI-Unitor-Family-Driver is already available for USB interfacing. Core MIDI drivers are also available from other manufacturers such as Edirol, Event Electronics, Evolution, M-Audio (Midiman), Motu, Roland and Tascam. If you own another MIDI interface, check the manufacturers web site for Mac OS X compatible driver installers.
- Audio Hardware: Access to audio hardware is handled using the Mac OS X standard known as "Core Audio". This means that there is no further need for proprietary standards like ASIO, EASI or Direct I/O. There are currently Core Audio drivers for the built-in Apple audio hardware and the EMI 2|6, aswell as Core Audio drivers from other audio hardware manufacturers such as MOTU, M-Audio, Edirol and RME. If you own another audio interface, check the manufacturers web site for Mac OS X compatible driver installers.

InerziaSysEx 1.0.0 is a feature-rich and trustworthy widget which helps to build system exclusive messages as defined by Roland Corp.

After the input of the various data, it adds some fixed byte and calculates the checksum. The result is ready to copy and paste into your MIDI application of choice. A preference records if you need the starting and ending bytes F0..F7. A quick help is on the back, while a detailed help can be downloaded from the InerziaSoft web site.

With this widget, you cannot throw away the user manual of your synth... but it performs the annoying task of generating the checksum byte and the collection of the various fixed bytes. At present it works only with Roland devices.
