Secure Remote Disk is the tool you need to connect to your remote servers with super secure SSH and the *cough* convenience of MacOS X Finder. Secure Remote Disk provides simple user interface for MacFUSE and sshfs.

Secure Remote Disk requires MacFUSE-Core 0.1.7 or newer to work. MacFUSE is still alpha software. So it might not behave like you want. Neither I or the MacFUSE developers can be made responsible for any loss of data, soft- or hardware. Use at your own risk.

Bak is a simple automated backup server application which requires no client software to be installed on the remote client machines.

Internally, Bak uses the unix tools ssh, rsync and (optionally for automated backups) cron. It also uses hard links to old backups to make incremental backups into real full backups without taking up the space of full backups.

Can backup several remote clients of any operating system that has rsync installed and ssh enabled. Automated backups can be configured to run even when there is no account logged in. Can be configured to send email notifications at end of backups.

NB: This is a simple piece of software that was developed for my own use, and comes with no help or support, so use at your own risk.

Hint: To back up the local machine to itself (eg, to an external hard drive), set the "Remote Host" to "localhost".

RaidEye is a tool for monitoring Mac OS X software RAID volumes status. RaidEye is able to detect if a RAID volume has damaged or missing members, and can alert the user with a repeating sound and sending an email with a detailed report of RAID status.

RaidEye can also rebuild damaged mirrored RAID sets. The best way to try RaidEye is to create a small raid with 2 or more USB pens or ipods, and to create/destroy/rebuild software RAID sets. Use Disk Utility to create RAID sets the first time. Please note: use this tool at you own risk.

ISOlator 2.0 brings you a convenient desktop utility which is useful in case you want another copy of, but don't want to download it again. Got a CD that needs to be in the computer to play your game, but you don't want to risk scratching the original? Need to make backups to protect against kids? ISOlator is for you. ISOlator takes a CD, DVD, or other mounted volume and makes an ISO out of it. The ISO can then be burned to CD, stored on your backup disk (you DO backup, right?), or put to use however you like. ISOlator uses the Unix command line program 'dd' to make the copies, and is very easy to use, just drag and drop!

iSpazz is a small plugin for iTunes that controls the MacBook Pro/PowerBook backlight keyboard and optionally the display backlight.

To use this yourself, download the plugin, uncompress it and copy it to Library/iTunes/iTunes Plug-ins in your home folder.

Pressing the "i" key toggles the display flicker. Use at your own risk.

TinkerTool 3.94 is developed to be a helpful application enabling you to access to additional preference settings that Apple has built into Mac OS X. This allows to activate hidden features in the operating system and in some of the applications delivered with the system.

The tool makes sure that preference changes can only affect the current user. You don't need administrative privileges to use the tool. With this design, it is no problem to use TinkerTool in professional networks where users have restricted permissions. The program will never change any component of the operating system, so the integrity of your system is not put at risk, and there will be no negative effect on system updates.

All preference settings changed by TinkerTool can be reset to Apple's defaults, or to the state that existed before using the tool. No dangerous background processes are used for TinkerTool's operation.
