Have you ever been close to a really large rgb display (like the ones they use in pop concerts)? If you look at the picture from close up you will notice that the picture consists of a multitude of red, green, and blue lights. RGB Trini emulates this effect.
RGB Trini will break down your clip into red, green, and blue lights. You can choose the algorithm it uses for this: either scatter the lights (like in more advanced displays) or use red, green, and blue columns.
With RGB Trini you will be able to emulate a really large display. Its a cool effect with few real appliances, we know. This plug was originally created for one specific purpose, and after we were finished we thought that its too cool to let you not have it.
Main features:

- define the area of the clip you want to be affected by the plug-in. all other parts or the clip remain untouched.
scatter:
- controls how the red, green, and blue pixels are arranged. if scatter is on, the pixels will form diagonal lines, of scatter if off, they will form vertical lines.
brightness:
- since breaking down the clip into red, green, and blue lights usually takes away two thirds of the pictures brightness, you can increase overall brightness with this slider. note that this happens at the expense of color fidelity (the picture loses color contrast and turns monochrome white)

PRICE was born to support my research in image processing. So I have decided to work on a usable application that can open several file formats and apply high quality filters and other enhancements to the image.
Enhancements:
- the image representation is now a PRImage class which allows to access some fieds without fetching the TIFF image represetnation. This yeilds some speed up in some stages, like when fetching the original dimensions.
- the 5x5 convolution engine now works in color mode (separate RGB channels) too
