Canadian Weather Information is a Dashboard widget that will allow the user to reference the current weather conditions and 5-day weather report for all major Canadian cities available from Weather Canadas Weather Office web site.
The weather information will be updated as frequently as the widget window is opened.
The widget supports English and French locales.

Main features:
- Double-click on the main panel to switch between text and graphical forecasts.
- Windchill (when present) is displayed under the current temperature in blue.
- Humidex (when present) is displayed under the current temperature in red.
- Current weather image (when present for the location).
- Weather warnings result in the location to be displayed in red.
- Clicking on the location text will take you to the web page provided by Weather Office.
- A pop-up menu in the back allows the user to set what interval the widget updates at if it is constantly displayed.
- Air quality information: for locations for which Weather Office reports Air Quality Information (Toronto, for example) the current temperature reading will be colored according to the color scheme that Weather Office uses for pollution (link): blue means low, red means high.

Open RETS Client (ORC) is a command-line application written in Java, designed to retrieve Multiple Listing Service (MLS) related data from a remote/local Real Estate Transaction Standard (RETS) compatible server.
The ORC supports the majority of functional operations as defined per the Real Estate Transaction Standard Protocol Specification, version 1.0.
As outlined in the RETS Specification, the client program may communicate with a property or other real estate data server for the purposes of retrieving real estate property information.
Designed around a three-tier architecture, the RETS Client has been separated into an application logic layer, a presentation layer, and a storage layer.
Currently, the ORC supports the following functional operations:

- Action Transaction
- Search Transaction
- GetMetadata Transaction
- GetObject Transaction

The technology employed by FileVaporizer is nothing new. Youve probably seen it before. In fact, its a process that has been done many times over - and has probably been done better more>> The technology employed by FileVaporizer is nothing new. Youve probably seen it before. In fact, its a process that has been done many times over - and has probably been done better. So whats the deal?
The deal is that FileVaporizer is free. It was a fun little app to write, and it serves a function. There are other apps out there that do basically the same thing. Were not going to lie to you. But are they free? So what does FileVaporizer do, exactly? See, when you trash a file and erase it from your computer, it really doesnt erase the file. What happens is the space that that file occupies is flagged as blank space. Thats all. No actual erasing happens. Eventually you may add some files to your hard drive and that will write over the file you erased. However it may not write over that files space for quite a while, and even then it may only partially write over it. There exist programs that can un-erase the files on your hard drive, and they can be used to retrieve sensitive information from you computer which you thought you deleted! What FileVaporizer does to files which you wish to erase is to first write over them with random data and then delete them, thus making them unrecoverable. Pretty simple. We hope to release better versions in the future with more features (drag-n-drop, internet cache delete, etc.), but until then you get this version for free. What would be really excellent is if you would write to us and give us suggestions on future functionality you would like to see.

- Freenet is decentralised to make it less vulnerable to attack, and if used in "darknet" mode, where users only connect to their friends, is very difficult to detect.
- Communications by Freenet nodes are encrypted and are routed through other nodes to make it extremely difficult to determine who is requesting the information and what its content is.
- Users contribute to the network by giving bandwidth and a portion of their hard drive (called the "data store") for storing files. Files are automatically kept or deleted depending on how popular they are, with the least popular being discarded to make way for newer or more popular content. Files are encrypted, so generally the user cannot easily discover what is in his datastore, and hopefully can't be held accountable for it. Chat forums, websites, and search functionality, are all built on top of this distributed data store.
- An important recent development, which very few other networks have, is the "darknet": By only connecting to people they trust, users can greatly reduce their vulnerability, and yet still connect to a global network through their friends' friends' friends and so on. This enables people to use Freenet even in places where Freenet may be illegal, makes it very difficult for governments to block it, and does not rely on tunneling to the "free world". .
