Mac GNU Privacy Guard (Mac GPG for short) is, after a fashion, the Mac OS X port of GnuPG, licensed under the GNU GPL.
The aims of the project are to make GnuPG easy to install, develop a framework to make it easy for other developers to incorporate GnuPG functionality into their applications, write services to allow for the use of GnuPG functions in most Cocoa applications, and write a Mac GPG Keys type application so that you no longer have to go to the commandline to manage your keys.
For those who dont know, GnuPG is a free OpenPGP client (PGP == Pretty Good Privacy). Mac GNU Privacy Guard can encrypt text (usually e-mail or other messages sent between people) and also sign text to prove who wrote it.
NOTE: Usage instructions for the Mac GNU Privacy Guard can be found in the included ReadMe file.

Enhancements:
- The latency is taken into account when evaluating whether or not to reuse a connection. This should significantly reduce the number of connections problems several users reported.
- If the server doesn't specify how long the connection stays alive, Privoxy errs on the safe side of caution and assumes it's only a second.
- The error pages for connection timeouts or missing server data use a Last-Modified date in the past. Retry attempts are detected and Privoxy removes the If-Modified-Since header to prevent the server from responding with status code 304 in which case the client would reuse the error message.
- Setting keep-alive-timeout to 0 disables keep-alive support. Previously Privoxy would claim to allow persistence but not reuse the connection.
- Pipelined requests are less likely to be mistaken for the request body of the previous request. Note that Privoxy still has no real pipeline support and will either serialize pipelined requests or drop them in which case the client has to resent them.
- Fixed a crash on some Windows versions when header randomization is enabled and the date couldn't be parsed.
- Privoxy's keep-alive timeout for the current connection is reduced to the one specified in the client's Keep-Alive header.
- For HTTP/1.1 requests, Privoxy implies keep-alive support by not If the socket isn't reusable, Privoxy doesn't temporarily waste a socket slot to remember the connection.
- If keep-alive support is disabled but compiled in, the client's Keep-Alive header is removed.
- Fixed a bug on mingw32 where downloading large files failed if keep-alive support was enabled.
- Fixed a bug that (at least theoretically) could cause log timestamps to be occasionally off by about a second.
- No Proxy-Connection header if added if there already is one.
- The configure script respects the $PATH variable when searching for groups and id.

SLopen 1.0 brings users with help to automate the changing of the preferred application for documents to open with to that of their creating application so that double clicking the document on Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard causes the creating application to open the document and not the system default application for the document's file type.
The problem:
Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard no longer respects the creator code of document files. When double clicked, such files now open using the default application for the file's type and not the creating application. In other words, the "when I double click a document in Snow Leopard, I want it to open under not " problem. For example, you want your Photoshop-created PNG files opened by Photoshop, not by Preview.
Solution:
Change the "Opens with" setting for all document files to that of the creating application. You can do this by hand but if you have a lot of documents, this can get tedious. This program can automate the process for you. Note that this is really a work-around and not a true solution to the problem but for most people, this work-around will probably be sufficient.
This problem can only be properly solved by storing the preferred application's bundle identifier as metadata with the document. Until that solution is implemented by Apple, changing the "Opens with" setting is the best known work-around for the problem.
