iTunes Repair 1.0 is a distinguished and tractable tool which can repair the nasty iTunes 4.9 Bug where iTunes recognizes music files as quicktime movies.
Many people have this problem. You may read more about that here: Apple Discussions, iPodHacks.com, MacFixItForums.com and MacOSXHints.com This tool does exactly what's explained at MacFixIt: It changes the creator code to 'hook' (that's the code for iTunes) and the type code to MPG3 for .mp3, M4A for .m4a and M4P for .m4p files.
No other files will be changed than these three extensions. Just drop some files and/or folders on it (or your complete music folder) and it will repair the type and creator codes of your files. After repairing your files there should be no problems with cover art and iPod transfer anymore. Any questions, email the author.
Requirements: iTunes 4.9

Compressor Repair 1.2
Compressor Repair is designed as an effective program to check for problems that could be preventing Compressor and Qmaster from operating correctly and to check for missing files, repair incorrect permissions and attempt to manually start the qmasterd process. more>>
Compressor Repair 1.2 is designed as an effective program to check for problems that could be preventing Compressor and Qmaster from operating correctly and to check for missing files, repair incorrect permissions and attempt to manually start the qmasterd process.
Apple's Compressor relies heavily on the Qmaster service in order to work. Qmaster allows you to split rendering tasks across multiple machines in a render farm but it is still required even if you are only rendering on a single computer.
The link between the two is so important that if the Qmaster service fails to launch, Compressor will be unable to submit batches. Should this occur, Compressor Repair checks for problems that could be preventing Qmaster from operating correctly.
Major Features:
- Checks for missing Qmaster files
- Checks for incorrect permissions and fixes them.
- Resets Qmaster.
- Manually launches qmasterd.
- Checks for invalid hostnames.
- Relaunches Qmaster menu bar icon.
- Re-enables Qmaster startup item if previously disabled by user.
- Checks for missing local hostname and computer name.
- Trashes Compressor preferences (optional).

Apple File Name Encoding Repair 1.0 is superior and tractable tool which designed specially for Mac OS 9 Finder to enter and display file names.
The Mac OS X Finder uses a worldwide standard character encoding, named Unicode, to enter and display file names. Mac OS 9 converts file names to Unicode for storage on Mac OS Extended volumes, but when the encoding differs from the system default (for example, a Japanese file name on an English system or vice versa) the conversion to Unicode can be incorrect. As a result, the file name may not display as expected. The Mac OS X File Name Encoding Repair utility will correct many of the common cases of incorrect conversion.
