RemoteWasher runs OS Xs built-in maintenance scripts, and repairs permissions, using Apples new Remote Desktop 3, keeping your networked Macs running smoothly.
With the recent release of Apples Remote Desktop 3, with Automator support, we thought itd be a good idea to kick things off with a twist. RemoteWasher is what were calling UpdateWasher, remotely. RemoteWasher will run OS Xs maintenance scripts across all of the Macs on your network, and lock them so nothing will be touched while the script is running. Were not sure if this is going to be a success but, thats why this is a public beta.

As its name implies, Mac Remote Control is an application that allows you to control a Mac remotely.
Mac Remote Control shows you a list of the applications currently running on the remote Mac.
You can quit any or all of the applications currently running, and launch other ones. You can also restart, shut down or put to sleep the machine. New in version 1.1 is the ability to wake up a sleeping Mac. Finally there is a convenience built in to toggle the active state of OSXvnc.
If the Mac can be accessed over TCP/IP on your local area network (LAN) or over the Internet, and its configured correctly, Mac Remote Control can control it.
Main features:
- Quit and launch applications remotely.
- Restart, shut down, put to sleep and wake up the Mac remotely.
- Toggle OSXvnc on and off.
- Localized in english and french.
Enhancements:
- Added the Wake Up button.
- Minor rework of the user interface.

After looking all over the net to no avail, I was motivated to make this simple hack for remotely targeting a single frame to load but then I decided to take it further, and rewrote the entire script.
This action was originally inspired by Target2Frames, but it is now completely original. As far as I know, it will work for Golive 4 to 6, but I make no guarantees.
What this script does, is when the page loads will first check to make sure that this frame isnt the parent frame (forcing to load into its frameset if it does) then directs another frame remotely to re-load or load a new page. How is this usefull? It is better than the Target2Frames action in that you no longer need to remember which two frames to control with a respective link. It basically is great for 3 frame web sites (navigation/subnavigation/content) where it creates a parent/child relationship with lets say your content/subnavigation frames. I know, its kind of hard to explain it, but youll just have to try it and make up your mind or wait months later when you need this feature :-)
Installation & Instructions:
Just drop this .action file into your link folder in your action folder of your GoLive application folder. To use it, just create a head action, select onLoad, and fill in the parent Frame, Frame name to control and URL to load into that frame name.... Thats it.
Enhancements:
- Re-written and more streamlined code
- New Force Frame check (way better smaller code and more efficient than the one that comes with GoLive)
- Now has conditional statements, checks for correct locations and DOM (document object model). If you dont know what that does, dont worry its a good thing and makes your webpage more efficient.

You can control your holiday displays right from your desktop or use the iPhone Griswold client (either compile from the source provided or check back to griswoldapp.com for when it is posted to the iTunes App Store). Griswold provides support for remotely start up or shut down your holiday extravaganza from anywhere in the world.

- A USBSerial adapter, if your system does not have a serial port. Try to get one based on the Prolific PL-2303 as they have great, cross-platform support.
