iCal Helper is an example of a rapidly prototyped tool to fulfill a specific task using AppleScript Studio. The problem is the lack of scripting support in Word + Entourage Special Edition, which make easy transfer of calendar events from Entourage to iCal difficult.
Also, the lack of recurring tasks in iCal, forces many tasks in Entourage to be entered as calendar events. iCal provides an easy to manipulate interface to float its window above Entourage 2001 running in Classic and a task and/or calendar list can be read and entered. iSync Scheduler is a little app that lets you change the time interval iSync uses in its auto synchronization schedule. The default value set by iSync is 60 minutes. I found that that was a little to often for me, so I whipped up this little gem to solve that problem. Sure, I couldve simply edited the com.apple.isync.schedules.plist file, but that would just be too easy and not quite Mac enough. Right?
Note: iSync Scheduler is not Tiger compatible. There are no immediate plans to resume development.
