Radio2ipod is a Mac application written in Java that allows you to record RealAudio streams to your iPod.

Radio2ipod is just the latest version of StreamRecorder. The name change was the result of publishing the source code on Google code. Apparently Stream Recorders already in use.

It might seem strange that a Java application is Mac only. The reason is that it fronts some native code that was compiled for the Mac platform.

I wrote the program for my own use, and I only use a Mac with my iPod. However, theres no reason why the back-end code cant be ported. It is just Mplayer and LAME.

MacRam2mp3 is an AppleScript application for creating mp3 audio files from RealAudio files.

I discovered that many Real Audio streams in the form of ".ram" files are returned by the Yahoo Audio Search engine (http://audio.search.yahoo.com/), so I wrote an Applescript application for use with Panther or Tiger to convert those program streams into mp3 files.

A fair amount of configuration is necessary in order to use this script, so please read the included instructions in the file "README (essential instructions).rtf".
