You might not have heard of Pandora, a personalized streaming music service. The cool thing about Pandora, besides the fact that its free, is that its music recommendations are based on actual musical analysis (e.g. "vocal harmony, mild rhythmic syncopation, acoustic rhythm piano, major key tonality"), not just artist and genre. Pandora comes from the Music Genome Project.
Well, I made a Dashboard widget for Pandora.
Caveats (not my fault):
1) Dashboard in Tiger doesnt pass events through to Flash applets very reliably (its a known issue), so its can be hard to click on things (try clicking in rapid succession). But it plays music fine. Its probably easier to set up your account and music preferences in your web browser first, and then just use the widget for listening to music (think: "It shuffles music for you").
2) Pandora takes a while to load (like 10 seconds).

FreeMat is a free environment for rapid engineering and scientific prototyping and data processing. FreeMat is similar to commercial systems such as IDL from Research Systems, and MATLAB from Mathworks, but is Open Source.
FreeMat includes several novel features such as a codeless interface to external C/C++/FORTRAN code, parallel/distributed algorithm development (via MPI), and plotting and visualization capabilities. FreeMat is available under an MIT-type license. Supported platforms include Linux, Windows and Mac OS X.
Its been nearly a year (!) since the last release of FreeMat. A new version is now ready for testing. I have elected to release it as a Release Candidate instead of a full release because of the significant changes that have been made since version 1.1.

Pandora's Big Box 1.3 is regarded as a potential and easy to use application made with AppleScript that gives the victim numerous pranks in a rapid fire fashion.

Makes a great gift.Give the installer package to the victim, not the application itself. To uninstall Pandora's Big Box drag it to the trash and in /Library/Application Support there is a folder called Pand'a. Delete that too.

Enhancements: Version 1.3 comes with an installer package and better compatibility with older macs.

FMrss MacOS Classic 1.01 comes as a quick RSS reader with the use of FileMaker Pro. It features larger-than-usual viewing font Rapid feed scanning.
