Random Playlist Creator is an application that randomly generates iTunes playlists from a source playlist, which can be of any type that references Library tracks (Library, normal, smart, Purchased Songs, Party Mix are the types that come to mind). It requires that iTunes is running: when run, it will start iTunes if necessary and will automatically quit if iTunes quits.
Main features:
- Creates multiple iTunes playlists of a specified combined file size or playing time. The number of playlists created is dependent on the number of tracks in the source playlist.
- Creates "super-playlists", each consisting of one or more segments (each segment comprises an iTunes playlist). This feature is especially useful for flash-based MP3 players with expansion cards where the internal memory is a different size than the expansion memory.
- Allows the last generated super-playlist to be randomly padded with tracks from previously generated super-playlists.
- Allows groups of tracks to be kept together in a specified order within the generated playlists. This feature is useful for albums where multiple tracks comprise a single contiguous song and some of the tracks do not stand very well on their own, such as the tracks that comprise each LP side of Pink Floyds Dark Side of the Moon.
- Track groupings can be defined either by creating a specially-named playlist or by defining the "grouping" ID3 tag in each song file.
- The defined track groupings can be individually enabled or disabled for use when generating random playlists with track groupings.
- Allows a group of tracks to either be constrained to a single segment (if its possible for the group to fit completely within one segment) or to span multiple segments within a super-playlist.
- Provides an enhanced shuffle mode where an entire playlist can be shuffled into a single new playlist with the track groupings intact.
- Provides an option to use only the MP3-formatted files in the source playlist -- useful for MP3 CDs and non-iPod MP3 players.
Enhancements:

Random Music plays random mp3 tracks from your music collection. It maintains a flat database of tracks, detailed genres, and weights, and generates a weighted random playlist from the user-selected genres. The ID3 and ID3v2 fields (title/artist/album), detailed genre, and weight (0-9) for the currently-playing track can be edited, and tracks can be removed from the playlist.
For example, a user can select only tracks with a minimum weight of 5 from the subgenres "Pop - 1970s" and "R&B - 1970s", and the playlist will adjust accordingly.
Enhancements:

- Playlist entries now include the album name, and selected tracks can be moved up or down.

RandomExtra is a tool helps you manage your Screen Savers. It picks a module according to your configuration and uses it when screen saver starts.

If you dont want a screen saver to be picked for the time being, just "deactivate" it in config dialog. You dont need to delete modules from various screen saver directories but control it with RandomExtra.

iPod Playlist Cloner creates an identical copy of your selected iTunes playlists, so you can copy them to a removable disk. The installer inserts a new menu into iTunes script menu.

Random Wok Aperture export plugin gives the names of the images it exports random file names.

Random file names are useful if you want to hide the sequence or meaning of the file names or if a random ordering is needed for a program that displays them in alphabetical order.

Random Wok exports random names with length and type that can be selected and you can also provide a prefix and a postfix strings that are applied to the ends of the random part of the name.

Controls
Kind: Case: Length: The style of the random part of the name is selectable among numeric, hex, alpha, and alphanumeric. All except the numeric style allow the selection of character case: upper, lower, or both. The length can be varied.

Freeze with: tells Random Wok to use the characters in the text field to generate the random names. The same characters value will always create the same set of random file names for the same images if the other settings are the same. This can be useful if you want to create links to random images and be able to repeatably export and upload them without breaking the links. With the freeze with checkbox unchecked names are completely random.

Prefix and Postfix are added to the beginning and end of the random part.

Random Wok displays thumbnails for versions (but not masters) and shows the version name, the caption, and an example random file name. If Freeze with is checked, then the new names shown will be used for the export.
