iConiCal is a simple utility for setting iCals icon and dock icon to show the current date in a choice of colours.

iConiCal changes iCals icon and automatically quits. To keep iConiCal open to change settings, hold the Option (alt) key while iConiCal loads.

ScribbleScreen works by capturing an image of the Macintosh screen at the moment it is launched; thereafter drawing occurs on top of this screen image as a background. This background can take over the whole screen (the other applications still running, but hidden) or can be in a smaller side window so you can see the other applications.
ScribbleScreen is a presentation tool allowing you to write directly onto the screen, drawing the attention of the audience.

qwikALERT is a simple little widget to remind you of those little things that you would otherwise forget.
It could be anything you like, such as change channel now, call back the guy who was on lunch, or even stop playing with your computer and go do something else!!
Simply type in the message you want to get, the date and time of that alert and press enter. Alerts are added and managed quickly and easily via the widget but alerts will interupt whatever your doing, in any application.

I stumbled on to the vastly cool aalib project when I was checking out a Knoppix boot CD the other day. They included the bb demo demonstrating the power of aalib and I decided that I just had to get this stuff running on Mac OS X.

I tried searching for a precompiled version for Mac OS X, but the closest was getting it through Fink or DarwinPorts, which I dont use. I therefore decided to compile it myself, which I succeeded in doing despite some compilation issues.

This package installer is a standard aalib install (including header file) minus library function man pages. It also installs the bb demo, which is seriously cool and is testament to how nifty the command line can be.

To get good performance with aalib, you should use GLTerm. The Apple-provided Terminal.app client is kind of slow.
