Apple Event Suites solely does nothing but allows you to browse dictionary of basic AppleScript terms described in the system in Mac OS X 10.3 or earlier, using the Script Editor.
Although the dictionary is not comprehensive, the contents appears to be a good model for scriptable applications. If you browse the dictionary in newer and older systems, you can also see that some terms were moved or added in Mac OS 8.5.

FreeShare Client And Server Suite is a powerful, stable, safe and free client and server suite based upon the GNU General Public Licensed "Openline" source code.

FreeShares underlying architecture follows the original Hotline protocol. As such, it functions just like a regular Hotline client and server; and all original, or third party, clients which follow the Hotline protocol, should be able to easily connect to a FreeShare server.
