A script to unbundle (and bundle) properties when the script is open in Script Debugger.

One of the great annoyances of scripting is when you get an error in a statement that sets several properties at once. You take a guess at which property is causing the problem and remove it, try again, etc, until you find its the last one left -- and you then have to put the others back (and you forgot to keep a copy of the original).

Ages ago I thought that a script to unbundle (and bundle) properties would be easy enough, and I finally got around to trying to write it. I was wrong; it was a real pain. But I think I got close enough.

Protean 7.0 is designed as a sophisticated program which allows you to predict and display patterns, secondary structural characteristics and physicochemical properties of protein sequences via its comprehensive suite of protein analysis tools. When you find interesting structures, you can utilize the integrated BLAST tool* to search NCBI's databases for related sequences using all or part of your polypeptide as the query. Protean also provides you with the tools to easily annotate and export your findings as reports, pictures or tables.

Requirements: Mac OS X 10.1 or higher (10.2 recommended)

The SeeSS Widget is a quick and handy reference sheet for 140 CSS (1, 2 & 3) properties (proprietary extensions are not included). Each property includes information on its inheritance, CSS compliancy, Safari support, all values (including defaults), some examples and an extensive description. A link to the appropriate W3.org pages is included as well, for even more additional information.

This Widget is scrollable and stretchable, and features a unique “collapsing method”, in order to save Dashboard screen estate.

unlock_files is a simple script that recursively unlocks files in a dropped folder or set of files/folders.
If double-clicked, unlock_files prompts the user to select a folder to unlock the contents of.

The script will report the number of files processed, the number of errors encountered, as well as the number of locked files and associated errors. reporting can be turned off by setting the gen_report property to false (the truly ambitious can remove all the if statements beginning with "if gen_report then..." and the routines "report()" and "init()," as well as all global variable statements and properties [except the property "fn_name"] - in that order).

Script can be repurposed by changing lines between commented areas in cycle_items. run, open and walk_folders subroutines are static (based on my recursive.droplet script from 1999). error reporting and file selection strings should be changed to suit (fn_name and fn_nick properties).

The House Browser widget displays the Marvins, Isle of Wight, property reference number, price, location, date added to the database, photograph and brief property description - an available link then takes the user off to the Marvins website for more detailed information on the illustrated home.
Enhancements

The Periodic Table is a very interesting widget that allows you to click on an element to display basic information and properties, such as atomic mass, density, melting point and more.
Double-clicking on an element will open a link to its Wikipedia page to provide additional information.
Enhancements:
- Increased the font size of the common oxidation states for clarity
- Fixed a typo on the default startup image
- Centered the done button on the back
