Birthstone Picker 2.0 is a simple yet useful widget which allows you to calculate the population of the world. It takes into consideration death rates and birth rates. Its a fun widget to watch the population of the earth increase! There is, of course, no totally accurate account of total world population. No one is continually recording every single birth and death.
Nevertheless, it is possible to make estimates based on various census figures and rates of growth in various countries. The figure above is of net births minus deaths, and is based on estimates provided by the U.S. Census Bureau of a total population of 6,451,058,790 in mid-2005, currently increasing at a rate of 1.15% per year, or 2.37 people per second.

AssociationViewer 1.5.1 is a mighty efficacious Java application used to display SNPs in a genetic context. Supplementary data (such as genes or LD plots) is downloaded from various public data sources on the fly and saved locally in a cache. Custom data can be added as supplementary tracks.
Major Features:
- Display SNPs and their p-values in a genetic context, similar to usual genome browsers
- Automatically download supplementary information from Ensembl/Biomart
- Display Hapmap LD plots (currently coming from CEU population)

ClineFit takes data in my own format (very similar to Swoffords BIOSYS) or Arlequin format. ClineFit requires that the location of each population sample be a number, placed as the last piece of information in the populations name.
ClineFitt also requires that you identify, as part of the name of each locus, the alleles that will be most frequent on the right side of the cline.

- 4 parameters describing introgression tails on either side of the cline
- 2 parameters describing frequencies of asymptotic polymorphisms on each side of the cline, if they are not fixed.
