DropITx sends your current ip-address to a www-server of your choice (a server with a static address) so that you (or others) can always check your address from wherever you or they are.

This is useful if you want to be able to connect to your computer with a Remote Access program (like Mac2Mac or Timbuktu).

Cornice is a cross-platform image viewer written in Python + wxPython + PIL. It doesnt pretend to be complete, fast, or even useful, but I like it and it is the viewer I use on both Linux and Windows. It has been inspired by the famous Windows-only ACDSee.

- This is primarily a bug-fix release; Mister Hankey didnt much like the smell of panthers and tigers, but now Ive set him straight.
- This version is compiled as a "Universal Binary", and should work on Intel Macs, at least the developer machines Apple has shipped in 2005...

Link Me!/Open Me! is an interesting set of scripts! "Link Me!" will allow you to place a link button to another QuarkXPress document on the current documents layout. When run, the script will prompt you for the document to "link to" and then create a picture box containing an icon on the top left of the current page.

It will also place a text box containing the name of the "link to" file next to the picture box.

Select both boxes (group them if you like) and move them to the pasteboard or wherever you desire. The text box containing the "link to" doc name is created for your convienince and may be deleted if you want since the picture box contains the link!

To open "link to" documents, select the link icon boxes representing the files to open (dont worry if theyre grouped since the script will find "see" them anyway), and run the "Open Me!" script--it will open all "link to" documents. If a "link to" document has been moved to another location, the script will offer to find every matching file and open them. The "Open Me!" script requires the scriptable Finder that ships with system 7.5 or higher.

SolarPanel is a collection of classes for Metrowerks PowerPlant, developed and tested with CodeWarrior Pro 8 and PowerPlant 2.2. This source code is available free to the public. Please give credit and notify the author is you use it in your application, and dont forget to submit your changes for integration.

ToolbarButton: An implementation of appearance-compliant cicn buttons with optional web-browser-style appearance, animation and visual feedback for different states of the button (normal, pushed and when mouse is over)

LPreferences: The simplest way to handle a preferences file within your application. One line of code takes care of everything. Includes option to nest your file into a folder of your choice (within the users Preferences folder).

LTooltipAttachment: Highly customizable implementation of tooltips. Allows to specify the delay until appearance, text style and colors for each individual tooltip.

LTemporaryFileArray: Looks and behaves almost identically to the LArray class, except that it uses a temporary file as its storage location instead of RAM. Supports fixed and variable sized elements, and comes with an additional class, LTableFileStorage, to implement disk-based storage of PowerPlant tables.

LInternetButton: Appearance Manager-compliant text button that implements clickable URLs within your windows, with different text traits for normal and pushed states and sound feedback wherever an Appearance Manager soundset is enabled.

toPositionTheDock is a small application to edit DockMenus.plist. It just adds a few lines of text which will show the extra options when you control-click the Dock (Position on screen). Now you can easily put your Dock wherever you want. DockMenus.plist is owned by the system so the app needs the admin password to edit it.

toPositionTheDock will only work in Dutch, English, French, Danish, Italian, German and Spanish so far. Send me your translation ("Top", "Left", "Right", "Bottom", "Start position", "Center", "End position") and Ill add them.

To manually undo the changes made by toPositionTheDock go to /System /Library /Coreservices /Dock.app /Contents /Resources /your_language.lproj, remove DockMenus.plist and rename DockMenus.plist old to DockMenus.plist. Restart the Dock.

Date Reminder is a program that will remind you of important dates when your computer starts up. Youll never have to forget a birthday/anniversary/appointment again.

Simply decompress the file and drag the Date Reminder application to wherever you would like to install it.
