GCViewer is a free open source tool to visualize data produced by the Java VM options -verbose:gc and -Xloggc: . It also calculates garbage collection related performance metrics (throughput, accumulated pauses, longest pause, etc.). This can be very useful when tuning the garbage collection of a particular application by changing generation sizes or setting the initial heap size. Supported Formats
• Sun JDK 1.4/1.5 with the options -Xloggc: [-XX:+PrintGCDetails]
• Sun JDK 1.2.2/1.3.1/1.4 with the option -verbose:gc
• IBM JDK 1.3.1/1.3.0/1.2.2 with the option -verbose:gc

Best results are achieved with: -Xloggc: -XX:+PrintGCDetails
Data Export

GCViewer can also export the data in CSV (comma separated values) format, which may easily be imported into spreadsheet applications for further processing.

GCViewer has been developed with J2SE 1.4 and is licensed under LGPL.

WhiteCap is a real-time music visualization plug-in for media players and can also visualize auxiliary or "line-in" audio.
WhiteCap was designed to be visually engaging, never showing the same thing twice while allowing you to customize, control, and script it if you so desire.
WhiteCap features more than 180 effects, a morphing slideshow, savable and scriptable effects, video file export capabilities, control over specific effects, and expandability.
Enhancements:

Birthday Grapher is a tool designed to help explain and visualize the infamous "Birthday Paradox".
It is being distributed freely, though your donations would be greatly appreciated.

Biorhythms are a method to predict three cycles in your life based on your birthday.
These cycles are the physical (23 days), emotional (28 days) and intellectual (33 days) cycle.
Each of these cycles goes through different phases: high, low and critical.

The GPG/PGP web of trust is a very powerful, however complex institution. iTrustGPG tries to change this situation, by making you able to visualize trust relationsips fairly easy. Requires keys to be in internal database.

Leaks is a tool to parse and visualize the output from the "leaks" command line utility.
The reporting done by the leaks command line utility is fantastic, as is the memory management event history of ObjectAlloc. If you use them together, you have a very powerful tool for finding memory leaks in Cocoa applications. Manually piecing together the data provided by these tools is of course often both time consuming and tedious.
The goal is to make this easier by providing a tool that combines the reports from the leaks command line utility with object memory management event history and user interface and data mining abilities reminiscent of Shark.
As this is a project run in my spare time, its quite possible that I will not reach that goal...
That said, the functionality implemented so far is already useful on its own.

Osmose is a tool to prepare multimedia presentations. It is a free software distributed under the GPL license. It is written in Java and has been tested under Mac OS X (Panther and Tiger), Linux, and Windows XP with Java 1.4.2.
Osmose allows you to print the presentations and to visualize them on the screen and on the Web in HTML.
Osmose also allows you to create PDF files from your presentations.
Osmose is based on a research work that proposes a new way to create digital documents. We invite everyone to leave the WYSIWYG mode to a more complete way of working, that articulates: working on the content, adding multimedia files, and working on the style using a graphic theme.
