SeSAm 1.9.2
SeSAm provides a generic environment for modelling and experimenting with agent-based simulation more>>
SeSAm (Shell for Simulated Agent Systems) provides a generic environment for modelling and experimenting with agent-based simulation. We specially focused on providing a tool for the easy construction of complex models, which include dynamic interdependecies or emergent behaviour.
SeSAm agents consist of a body, that contains a set of state variables and a behaviour that is implemented in form of UML-like diagram. Based on an extensive number of primitive components, a user is able to design a simulation graphically without knowing the syntax of a traditional programming language.
The model specification is executable in the same environment and the dynamics of this simulation may be observed. As there are freely configurable instruments for gathering data and scripting options for constructing simulation experiments, SeSAm is a highly valuable tool for MAS simulations especially for complex models with flexible agent behaviour and interactions.
As a graphical interface for implementing a simulation model, SeSAm provides built-in animation capabilities, tools for collecting and analyzing protocol data, etc.. The simulation tool is domain-independent. Existing models vary from the simulation of social insects to bussinsess process modelling. Even scientists without traditional programming experience are able to build and experiment with multi-agent models. Visual editors allow to describe the agents and their behavior. After building the model you can run the simulation and observe the animation and on-line evaluation curves. All steps can be accessed in a visual way!
Main features:
- Easy visual agent modelling,
- Flexible environment and situation definition,
- The whole power of a programming language,
- Integrated graphical simulation analysis ,
- Distribution of simulation runs in your LAN.
Enhancements:
- Improved Error Report System.

UseCaseBench 1.2
UseCaseBench - Tool for estimating software development time more>>
This utility allows an analyst to capture the Actors, Use Cases, complexity, technical and environmental factors and it applies the "Use Case Points" methodology to provide an estimate of how long the project will take.
Information gathered about Actors and Use Cases, free form text, complexity and their association can be captured and then exported from the program into an HTML report or GraphViz Use Case diagram.
Enhancements:
- Fixed a bug that prevented output to HTML when there were items with completely empty notes.

TkCVS 8.0
TkCVS is a Tcl/Tk-based graphical interface to the CVS and Subversion configuration management systems more>>
TkCVS is a Tcl/Tk-based graphical interface to the CVS and Subversion configuration management systems. It will also help with RCS. The user interface is consistent across Unix/Linux, Windows, and MacOS X. TkDiff is included for browsing and merging your changes.
TkCVS shows the status of the files in the current working directory, and has tools for tagging, merging, importing, exporting, checking in/out, and other user operations.
TkCVS also aids in browsing the repository. For Subversion, the repository tree is browsed like an ordinary file tree. For CVS, the CVSROOT/modules file is read. TkCVS extends CVS with a method to produce a "user friendly" listing of modules. This requires special comments in the CVSROOT/modules file.
Although TkCVS now supports Subversion, it will still work happily without it in your CVS directories. It didnt abandon CVS, it just grew some new capabilities.
Enhancements:
- The Annotation browser optionally shows line numbers.
- Multiple branch-browser fixes for Subversion:
- Treat branchpoints as real revisions, so they have both a blue box and a black one in the diagram. Its rather inelegant, but it works with the way the branch browser was designed. Solves problem of branches not being drawn if they branch straignt from another branchpoint.
- Send URL paths instead of -r < file > arguments to the diff, svn-cat, and annotation commands because Subversion doesnt cross branch boundaries with simple revision arguments, and doesnt tell you that its not giving you the revision you asked for.
- Bugfix: relative URL path in Branch Browser is constructed correctly for path depths > 2
- The Branch Browser counts the tags when making a Subversion diagram and gives you a chance to skip the tag step if there are many, where "many" is defined by cvscfg(toomany_tags). Constructing the branch diagram for Subversion is extremely inefficient, and drawing the tags can take longer than its worth.
- For Subversion directories, the Module Browser shows the number of items within the folder instead of the "svn list -v" info string. That may help you decide whether to open the folder or not.
- The Branch Browser positions the diagram so "you are here" is in the visible canvas, fixing a long-time nagging irritation.

CanvasUML 0.1.1
CanvasUML can be a really useful free Cocoa-based application for Mac OS X Tiger which lends you a helping hand in creating simple UML Class Diagrams. more>>
CanvasUML 0.1.1 can be a really useful free Cocoa-based application for Mac OS X Tiger which lends you a helping hand in creating simple UML Class Diagrams. CanvasUML is alpha-quality software and should not be used for mission critical work (as if there were such a thing as mission critical UML diagramming?). CanvasUML is built using Apple's WebKit framework, tag, WebKit's support for ContentEditable.
CanvasUML should be thought of as an exploration of what is possible using the above technologies rather than a solid app. It is basically an experiment to see how far the element can be pushed.
Major Features:
- CanvasUML is implemented with an unholy mix of HTML, JavaScript, Cocoa, CSS, the tag, contentEditable, and Safari JavaScript Drag n Drop.
- The main window in a CanvasUML document consists of a WebView (basically like a Safari window) filled by a large, resizable tag. The class/instance boxes are DHTML s with nested contentEditables for the title, attribute, and operations sections. The association lines and the shadows behind the class boxes are, of course, drawn by the tag. CanvasUML saves its doucuments as HTML files which link against a shared CSS stylesheet and JavaScript library stored in the CanvasUML app bundle (take a look if you're curious).<<less

Mars24 5.5.1
Mars24 - Sunclock of Mars, displays orbital positions and more more>>
Java-based application which displays a Mars "sunclock", a graphical representation of Mars showing the current sun and nightsides of Mars, along with a numerical readout of the time in a 24-hour format.
Other displays include a diagram showing the position of Sun and Earth for a given location on Mars and a plot showing the relative orbital positions of Mars and Earth.
Following the long-standing practice originally adopted in 1976 by the Viking Lander missions, the daily variation of Mars solar time is reckoned in terms of a "24-hour" clock, representing a 24-part division of the planets solar day, along with the traditional sexagesimal subdivisions of 60 minutes and 60 seconds.
A Mars solar day has a mean period of 24 hours 39 minutes 35.244 seconds, and is customarily referred to as a "sol" in order to distinguish this from the roughly 3% shorter solar day on Earth. The Mars sidereal day, as measured with respect to the fixed stars, is 24h 37m 22.663s, as compared with 23h 56m 04.0905s for Earth.
Enhancements:
- User may specify an MJD when setting clock to a fixed Earth time.
- UTC to TT conversion uses leap-second table lookup where possible rather than always use parametric formula.
- Switched to ImageIO for saving PNG images to disk.

Choice 0.1.3
Simple little gem for easily defining and parsing command line options with a friendly DSL more>> QuickUML is a software design tool that tightly integrates a core set of UML models with code generation for several languages. An entire project is presented through a tabbed window that includes use cases, class models, object models, dictionary and code and saved as an XML file. Use cases document user interactions with the system and link to models, code, foreign files or other use cases. Class models may contain classes, interfaces, components, packages and other objects. Sequence diagrams illustrate how objects interact with emphasis on the order in which things occur. QuickUML contains advanced features for multiple language projects, design namespaces, UML stereotype extensions, flexible color support, custom detail fields and automated generation of class models from the dictionary. An integrated code manager enables the designer to navigate through code files linked to use cases and diagram objects.<<less
