TypesChange CM Plugin is a fast and small Contextual Menu plugin to change files type and creator codes.

iTunes Associator changes the file type creator of MP3s to iTune MP3s. Simply drag all of your MP3 files onto the iTunes Associator and they automatically convert.

Type Fixer was originally written for Mac OS X, where sometimes plain text files without creator and type codes (such as those produced by TextEdit) are changed to SimpleText files, meaning that Classic will start up if you double click on the file.

The creator and type codes for any file ending with ".txt" will be changed to the unknown code "????". This changes the owner application back to TextEdit. Open the droplet in the AppleScript Script Editor, change the codes and filter criterion as indicated in the script to suit your own needs, and resave it as either a Classic Applet for Mac OS 9 or earlier, or a Mac OS X Applet for Mac OS X.

I know- yet another type/creator script, right? This pair of scripts is different in that you can drag a bunch of files to one, and it will write their names, types, & creator codes to a simpletext file.

Then you can drag them to the other script, and it will let you change the type & creator codes of all of them to any of the type & creator codes in the list you just made.

I also included a bunch of descriptively named dummy files to ease the creation of a large list.

ResPloder explodes a Macintosh file into a folder. The data fork becomes a file called data.frk. The resource fork becomes a series of folders with each folder a resource type.

ResPloder can also implode a folder back into the original file.

Inside each folder are files containing the data for each resource of that type. For example, if a file containing PICT resources were exploded with ResPloder, then the exploded folder would contain a folder called PICT and inside that folder would be one file for every PICT resource in the original file.

Drop a ResPloder-created folder onto ResPloder and type a new file name when prompted. A new file with exactly the same structure as the original file will be created.

File Type Sorter is a droplet that sorts files according to creator type, file type or DOS extension. It creates a new folder for every type inside the original folder you dropped on it.

File Type Sorter also works for nested folders, no limit on depth.

File Type to iTunes is a very simple AppleScript droplet that steps through a bunch of files and changes their file type and creator code to that of an iTunes MP3.
