iCal Helper is an example of a rapidly prototyped tool to fulfill a specific task using AppleScript Studio. The problem is the lack of scripting support in Word + Entourage Special Edition, which make easy transfer of calendar events from Entourage to iCal difficult.

Also, the lack of recurring tasks in iCal, forces many tasks in Entourage to be entered as calendar events. iCal provides an easy to manipulate interface to float its window above Entourage 2001 running in Classic and a task and/or calendar list can be read and entered. The resulting information is sent to iCal. Includes source code.

Print Tasks List is an Entourage AppleScript that prints the Entourage Tasks List in a fully-customizable Table format in Word. It also provides some extra features missing from Entourage.

Set due date tomorrow is an Entourage AppleScrpt which enables the user to set the due date of any task for the next day.

The script is completly freeware for personal use.

New To Do allows you to create a new task, or to do item, in Microsoft Entourage, without bringing Entourage to the front. Entourage, however, must be running, or it will be launched and brought to the front.
The script presents a single multi-field dialog box that allows you to enter a title for the task, a due date, a date and/or time for an alarm (optional), and to select a category from a popup list of your own categories as defined in Entourage.
