The Web Media Finder automatically searches, downloads and plays multimedia files from any Internet Web site. Input an Internet address and the Web Media Finder searches for QT, MOV, AVI, MPG and MPEG movies, still images in GIF, BMP, JPEG, JPG, PICT and PNG formats, QTVR Panoramas and Object movies, as well as WAV and AIFF sound files.

Singer is a control panel that plays specific sounds when you type their name on the keyboard.The sounds to play are stored in the "Singer Sounds" folder inside the System folder and must bein double-clickable sound file format (aka System 7 sounds).

Orator is a small application used to convert typed text into a sound file. The application is very simple and uses only one window.
Orator can also read text aloud.

Ring On Time is an application that will play music or sound files of your selection on the time you have set. You can set up to four alarms, and you can also set it to play files on each quarter of every hour. You can set different volume levels for each sound. You can also have Ring On Time choose a file to play from a folder.
Enhancements:

- Made two separate buttons for selecting just one song and selecting a folder.

FSSoundPlayer is designed for playing System 7 sound files.

For reasons beyond us, QuickTime refuses to play System 7 sound files on Mac OS X, and because of that, weve designed FSSoundPlayer X to fill this immense void. Dont bother resorting to classic or some other behemoth application just to play them, just use FSSoundPlayer X.

The default set of sounds you get with Quicktime is a bit short on free-reed instruments, and in particular there is no concertina sound. This is a very high quality Sound Font in SF2 format, made from my own baritone Wheatstone English concertina (ca. 1906). It has been compressed with Stuffit, which is not very efficient, as the dedicated packaging programs (SFArk and SFPack) dont yet have Macintosh versions available. Consequently its a very big file - 7.3 Mb in size. You must be using at least version 5 of Quicktime to use it.

To use this file under OS X, unpack it and place the resulting "Concertina.sf2" file in ~/Library/Audio/Sounds/Banks
To use it under Classic systems, place it in System Folder:Extensions:Quicktime Extensions
If you want to use it under both operating systems you can put the file in the OS X location, reboot in OS 9, make an alias of the file and put that in the Quicktime Extensions folder.

You dont have to reboot, or even re-start BarFly. Choose "Add an Instrument" from the Instrument sub-menu. In the Instrument Picker dialog, the Synthesiser popup menu now contains a new synth named "Wheatstone English Concertina". Choose that, then choose one of the three instruments from the Instrument popup.

After a sound studio file has been split by its markers, this script will copy the latency of every other subfile into a preformatted Excel data sheet.

iSLaP is a small AppleScript that provides Iterative Sound Latency Processing in Sound Studio.

This is very handy for scoring experimental reaction-time data with an auditory stimulus and response.
