Learning Cocoa was the first tutorial book on Apples Cocoa frameworks to become available (May, 2001). The book is not very well-written or comprehensive, but its mostly accurate and serves as a reasonable jumping-off point for programmers who, like me, are new to Cocoa.

As I was working through the books tutorials, I made a number of changes to extend and rewrite the code - a great way to explore Cocoa. I realize the code could be a lot better in places: the blame is partially Apples, partially mine as a beginner.

Given the current lack of good documentation on Cocoa, having this working code would have been a help to me, and I hope it can be of help to others.

Globulation 2 is a Real-Time Strategy [RTS] game, which minimizes micro-management by automatically assigning tasks to units. The player chooses the number of units he wants to assign to various tasks, and the units will do their best to satisfy the requests. This allows the user to manage more units and focus on strategies rather than individual units jobs.

It can be played by a single player, through your Local Area Network [LAN], or through the Internet thanks to Ysagoon Online Game [YOG], a meta-server. It also features Artificial Intelligence [AI] for playing with computer teams, a scripting language for versatile gameplay or tutorials and an integrated map editor.

iStory Creator is an application made to allow people the opportunity to create their very own iPod text games.
It allows people with absolutely no HTML or coding experience the chance to be able to contribute games for the iPod that are engaging and rich with fun.

“iStories” are text games for the iPod that have a block of text like a book and then when certain things happen in the story, the user is able to make choices that affect how the story ultimately progresses. This can lead to games that are similar to RPG’s, quiz-type games, tutorials, demos, references and basically anything you can think of doing with a linked text files. The iStories can be very similar to a “Choose your own ending” type of novel or can be anything else you put your mind to authoring.
These games make for some great entertainment.

So, be sure download the creator, start thinking of a fun idea for an iStory and get cracking on making a great text game!

baseLib provides a range of basic services to scripts. It contains about 30 handlers, many of them optimised versions of whats on the FooDoo Lounge. Should work under any version of AS from 1.1 up to the present.

The file is run-only but the docs are pretty comprehensive, so it should be easy enough to use. This version has been tweaked for OS X, but should still run fine under System 7.1 or anything in between.

AthenaCL is an open-source, cross-platform, command-line program that functions as both a pitch (class) set theory utility (capable of both set and voice-leading modeling and analysis) as well as an object-orientated,
Python-scripted algorithmic front-end to Csound. These features allow the rapid and flexible scoring of Csound instruments with the power of Python-written texture algorithms.
Csound instruments are deployed as textures, layered surface-defining objects containing specialized objects to control rhythm, amplitude, panning, and Csound synthesis and control parameters.
Included Csound instruments provide a library of built-in sounds. As a compositional assistant, algorithms create complex textural surfaces, leaving the limitless mixture and placement of these textures and their attributes in the hands of the composer.
The algorithmic system controls pitch data by using paths, ordered content-groups.
These paths are the fundamental unit of the pitch set utility, allowing the organization, analysis, and modeling of pitch-materials. Paths employ 12-tone set-class and pitch-class notations. Paths can be modeled with the Strausian voice leading system and analyzed with numerous set-class similarity measures. As a desk-reference utility for post-tonal music theory, pitch sets can be searched to find normal-forms, subset vectors, and similarity values.

XaoS is a a real-time fractal zoomer.
XaoS is free software. You are welcome to redistribute it under certain conditions. It also means that you may get sources and help its authors with the development.
If you dont know what a fractal is, please try the tutorial An introduction to fractals. If you are new to XaoS you should try it too, since it is quite a good example of XaoSs features.
Both the tutorials are divided into chapters and available from help menu. So you dont need to watch them all at once (they are about half an hour long)
