Its a fast-paced, team play oriented game which also contains, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, "Capture the Briefcase" (CTF), and Teamplay game modes featuring modern weapons and items and locational damage.
Enhancements:
- Reaction Quake 3 is a "total conversion mod" for Quake III Arena based on action and realism with a specific emphasis on action over realism. - Allowed CTB radio sounds to also be played in other team-based modes
- Added a Zoom Sensitivity Lock during fire sequence of ssg to improve aiming
- Added local cvar cg_RQ3_ssgZoomSensLock to enable or disable the feature above (default enable)
- Upgraded the gamesource RQ3 is built on from 1.29h to 1.32b
- Removed most of the unlagged stuff. Only optimized prediction and smooth clients remains.

Quake 1.1

Quake 1.1

Quake - Play original Quake game on OS X more>>
Quake is the successor to Doom, the smash-hit action game. In Quake, youre plunged into a brutal and terrifyingly realistic 3D environment where youll need to rely on your agility, instincts, and a lot of weapons.
Multiple players can connect via modem or network in either cooperative or deathmatch modes. If you have trouble with weird colors or incorrect textures, throw away all the files inside the "glquake" folder in the "id1" folder to fix the problem.
This is the Cocoa version of the popular game Quake. It includes the software and OpenGL renderer versions of Quake and QuakeWorld.
Enhancements:
- Recompiled as Universal Binary.
- Optimized the software renderer for windowed modes.
- Windowed modes (software and OpenGL renderer) are now resizeable.
- The game will renderer inside the Dock document icon (instead of the application icon) if minimized.
- Screenshots are now saved in PNG format.
- Threaded CDAudio and MP3/MP4 playback.
- "glquake" cache files are now always little endian.
- "glquake" cache files are automatically converted if in wrong endianess.
- Minor bug fixes.

Quake III Arena Cell Shading - Quake III Arena modification that implements Cell Shading (Cartoon rendering) more>>
Quake III Arena Cell Shading is a modification for Quake III Arena which makes the game look like a painting or cartoon.
Two techniques are used. The default one (Kuwahara filtering) simplifies the texture a bit, and the second one removes the texture, so it looks plain.
Enhancements:
- This release added an alternative cell shading algorithm (white texture).
- Rocket smoke trails and sprites like text and buttons are not cell shaded.
- Mirrors now work as expected.
- A sky/depth bug was fixed.
- A new makefile was provided, which should simplify building under Linux. r_celshadalgo and r_celoutline variables were added.

EarthquakeX 1.1

EarthquakeX 1.1

EarthquakeX - Your Macintosh will experience random earthquakes more>>
What is EarthquakeX?
EarthquakeX is a port of an old prank/joke control panel for System 7 called Earthquake. When installed, your Macintosh will experience random earthquakes. This version is a bit different from the old one, but the principal is still the same. The old version, being a control panel, allowed you to set the quake frequency, duration and richter level. This version acts more like an extension; user control over the quaking is not allowed (read tip below, however).
How do I use EarthquakeX?
Ideally, you should install this on the computer of someone who is smaller and weaker than you. Then simply double click the EarthquakeX icon. Its a faceless background app, so it will look as if nothing has happened. After a few seconds, your Mac should experience a tremor. If you wish to quit EarthquakeX, simply open up a Terminal window and type:
killall QUIT "Earthquake"
Tip:
You can change the frequency of the tremors, if you know how to use the Terminal. On the Mac where EarthquakeX is installed (make sure it isnt running!), open a terminal and type in:
defaults write com.stimpsoft.earthquakex quakechance -integer [%percent];
Where it says [%percent], put the percent with which a quake can happen. There is a chance for a quake every ten seconds. So for example, if you typed in "defaults write com.stimpsoft.earthquakex quakechance -integer 50;", there will be a 50% chance of a quake every 10 seconds. The default chance for a quake is 30%.
NOTE:
Earthquake was originally created by Marco Carra of SlimyFrog Software in 1994.
EarthquakeX is 159% freeware. You may redistribute the application as you see fit, without notification to myself, as long as no fee is collected.
Enhancements:
- Version 1.1: Works with OS X 10.4 (Tiger), universal binary.
