appswitch is a command-line interface to the Mac OS X process manager.

If you use shell scripts to automate Mac OS X applications, you may need to switch between applications.

pidof is a small program that will return the PID number for a given process name.

Note that this program works similar to using grep - it will list all matches for the given process name, so if there are more than one process that contain the name given, all will be listed.

To install, either use sudo ./installer from this directory, or copy the pidof program file to where you wish, and the man page if you wish to install that, as well.

You can customize the install path with the installer by giving it the path you wish to install as an argument. E.g. sudo ./installer /usr will install it to /usr rather than to /usr/local (the default).

make_image works well, though this version doesnt offer any options; it only creates read-only HFS+ images.
make_image is a shell script that automates the process of creating a disk image.

No Processing quits, with one click, all running applications except the Finder, PrinterProxy, hidden applications and applications you have placed on the exceptions list.

To install copy the No Processing folder or application anywhere on your hard drive except the Desktop.

If you put the original application on your Desktop, you wont be able to set preferences.

Process Photo CD is an AppleScript for PhotoFlash that will batch process a range of images from a photo CD.
It even offers the option to rotate images and run another processing script on each image as it is extracted and saved to a pre-indicated location.

Completly freeware.

Quit Anything is an AppleScript application that can be used to quit processes. It lets you not only quit multiple processes without having to switch to each one, but also lets you quit background processes (a.k.a., "Faceless Background Apps" or "Daemons").
If you have a non-essential background process running, this is a really easy way to quit it.
Enhancements:
- Changed incorrect wording on "Add" dialog.
- Added more error info when an exception is thrown while reading the exceptions list.

When youre building the code documentation from the text selection, the documentation is then displayed in a web browser. The browser used to display the preview documentation is the one selected in the Internet System Preferences panel.
