AbiWord is a free word processing program similar to Microsoft Word. It is suitable for typing papers, letters, reports, memos, etc. It is designed to integrate perfectly with the operating system it runs on. It will take advantage of the functionality provided by the system, such as image loading or printing capabilities.
AbiWord has the following other editions available: AbiWord for Windows and AbiWord for Linux.

MacIrssi is a powerful, free of charge, open source IRC client.
MacIrssi is extremely configurable. Some things can be changed in the preference panel. Everything else is configured by editing the configuration files that resides in the folder ~/.irssi (invisible since it starts with a dot). Yadal is a dock-based launcher utility. It lets you define an application and documents menu through a configuration interface. Yadal uses the dock menu feature of MacOS X. It is not very customizable, however, as its not intended to be your average "do it all" application launcher.

OS X Rootkit Hunter is based on Michael Boelen`s "rootkit hunter" but little modified for easier/better usability on Mac OS X.

OS X Rootkit Hunter is scanning tool to detect nasty tools on your Mac. This tool scans for rootkits, backdoors and local exploits by running tests like:

- MD5 hash compare
- Look for default files used by rootkits
- Wrong file permissions for binaries
- Look for suspected strings in LKM and KLD modules
- Look for hidden files
- Optional scan within plaintext and binary files

*not yet tested on intel MACs.

Use: Simply drag a PNG file onto the GammaSlamma icon. A copy of the PNG will be created with the suffix _slammed.png, with all nasty Gamma information removed. Only one PNG can be Slammed at a time. Later versions of the application will support batch processing.

Rainbow was one of the first emulators available for Macintosh. Despite this, it has fairly good compatibility with original software.
Rainbow is an Atari 800 Series emulator for Mac OS X.
The Mac OS X version adds an improved GUI and significantly improved sound to the original version.

Frodo was developed to reproduce Commodore 64 video with a higher degree of precision than existing emulators at the time. It has now been superceded by projects such as Power64.
Frodo nevertheless still provides a solid and functional emulation.
