The software tools available in The Open MusicSystem (OMS) manage the flow of MIDIinformation between applications and MIDIhardware. A typical MIDI studio containsmultiple MIDI devices attached to one or moreMIDI interfaces. Without OMS, each individualMIDI application must keep track of allinterfaces, MIDI devices and data communication.
With OMS, all applicationssimply use the central, standardized MIDIcommunication offered by OMS. This is the fullversion of OMS, which is significantly largerthan the Lite version, but it does support morethan the standard Mac interface. This versionhas drivers for the Studio 4, 5LX, 64X, and64XTC interfaces.

iTunes Music Store Player allows you to play multiple tracks off of the iTunes Music Store without having to manually double click and start playing the next one.

Random Music plays random mp3 tracks from your music collection. It maintains a flat database of tracks, detailed genres, and weights, and generates a weighted random playlist from the user-selected genres. The ID3 and ID3v2 fields (title/artist/album), detailed genre, and weight (0-9) for the currently-playing track can be edited, and tracks can be removed from the playlist.
For example, a user can select only tracks with a minimum weight of 5 from the subgenres "Pop - 1970s" and "R&B - 1970s", and the playlist will adjust accordingly.
Enhancements:
- This release adds features to the playlist editor.
- Playlist entries now include the album name, and selected tracks can be moved up or down.

DJ Djownload Music Search is a simple widget that will allow you to perform searches for tracks, artists or record labels on the DJ Download music site.
I built it more for my own convenience as I wanted to get information on certain tracks in a mix set that I was listening to without having to load up Safari and then go to the DJ Download site to see if it was available.
When you type a search and press enter, it will automatically open Safari with the search results.

What do you get when you combine music recommendations, iTunes and OS X Dashboard? The GenieLab Widget! The GenieLab Widget monitors what youre playing in iTunes and queries GenieLab.com for information about the artist, including: a picture of the artist (if available), similar artists, and whether or not the artist is in iTunes, MSN and Amazon. Clicking on the artist takes you straight to the GenieLab.com page for the artist so you can submit a rating and read more about the artist.

PG is a simple application for the mac that you can use to easily mute iTunes for a short period of time alowing you to censor music.

Music Matcher 1.1 is an application to search the place where the beats lay on your sheet music for subdividing. Just select your time signature and start clicking away at notes and you're good to go.

What does Music Status Blackspot do? It patches Tigers iChat to not show those little iTMS links in the status line of a person utilizing the new iTunes status feature.

For some reason, Apple made it so you cant turn those off. Why? I dont know. Well, now you can turn them off. And no, it doesnt leave a big black spot where they used to be. It makes them disappear.
