iTunes 4 introduced the ability to share music between computers. However, as of version 4.1, iTunes doesnt provide much information about who is connected or what is being shared. This utility monitors iTunes to provide a solution.
The iTunes application must be named "iTunes." In order to be recognized as music files, file names must have one of the following extensions: .wav, .wma, .sn2, .mov, .moov, .mp3, .aiff, .m4a, or .m4p. The iTunes Monitor cant associate a shared music file with a given remote user and files being accessed locally arent distinguished from those being shared. iTunes monitor cant display the name of a file which is being received. iTunes Monitor may not work properly if another application is being used to proxy music streams over the Internet (iTunes 4.0.1 only.)
Since lsof (the UNIX tool at the core of this application) doesnt reliably return complete path names, iTunes Monitor must scan your Music folder when a new file is encountered. It may take a few seconds after launching before it completes its analysis of the files and sockets iTunes is using and initially displays the information.

MIDI Monitor 1.2.4 is created to be a useful and intuitive utility for Mac OS X which can show incoming MIDI signals in a variety of formats, with filtering by message type and channel. Musicians will find it handy for tracking down confusing MIDI problems. Programmers can use it to test MIDI drivers and applications.

AppleScript keeps an eye on one or more web pages through Safari, reloading them at specified intervals and reporting any changes it detects, both verbally and through a session log file.

Timed Screenshot is a tool that allows you to take continously timed screenshots of the desktop and specified intervals. It can be used to monitor what is happening on a remote machine.

ittyBittyMIDI is a Dashboard Widget for Mac OSX that allows you to quickly monitor midi signals on your computer. You can use it to either monitor all midi devices or choose one from a pull down menu on the reverse side of the widget. Access the reverse side of the widget by clicking on the info button that appears when you roll your mouse over the widget. ittyBittyMIDI currently monitors noteOn, noteOff, control change, pitchbend and program change messages.

I designed ittyBittyMIDI as a quick way to make sure that USB midi devices connected to my computer are generating signals. In addition to the XHTML, JavaScript and CSS programming that all widgets consist of, ittyBIttyMIDI also uses an Objective-C plugin to access a computers MIDI server. Like most Dashboard Widgets, ittyBittyMIDI does not consume any resources when the Dashboard is not activated.

Service Monitor works with our PowerKey and Kick-off! products to ensure that internet services running on a computer keep working.

Service Monitor works by periodically querying the chosen services running on this computer, and verifying that they respond as desired. As long as they do, Service Monitor updates a "Rebound! Timer" in the PowerKey/Kick-off! software. If the service fails for any reason, Service Monitor stops updating the corresponding timer, and PowerKey/Kick-off! can take appropriate action to restart the computer.

iChatMonitor show a small window like MSN Messenger when a contact becomes online, offline, away or idle, with the pseudo and the avatar of the contact.
