DateCoder is an application to help PHP and MySQL programmers write date commands with modifiers fast, without checking the manuals.

Finder clippings are a wonderful idea that most people dont use because theyre such a pain to deal with. Ever tried to find the rightclipping among a bunch of "Text Clipping 1", "Text Clipping 2", etc? Its not too bad with one clipping, but more than a coupleleads to long sessions in the Finder assigning useful names, wasting the time you saved.

ClippingNamer helps you manage clippings. Without leaving your current program, you can:Automatically assign a new name based on the (text) clipping contents.Automatically create a thumbnail image (icon) for picture clippings.

Popup a dialog that lets you see both ClippingNamers and the Finders suggested names, and use either one or a newname you type.You can set any of these modes (or none) as the default, and invoke any of the others with modifier keys (completelycustomizable). There are several other convenience options as well.

This is just a little utility that displays the key code and modifier keys state for any key combination you press.

FastTunes is a utility that helps you control iTunes. When you press the hotkey you choose, it will show the iTunes controls floating over your screen.
You can use these controls just like you would use them in iTunes.
When the track changes, FastTunes will show its name and rating and you can edit that rating by clicking, again just like in iTunes.
You can also define hotkeys for actions such as play/pause, next song, volume down...
Enhancements:
- You can now change the color and opacity of the background and the color of the text of the information window.
- FastTunes now accepts the function keys without a modifier as hotkeys.
- Fixes a silent crash that would happen in some circumstances.

BasicBackup X is a basic backup tool for MacOSX and MacOS 8/9 that does not require .mac account.
You can add multiple backups, and choose which to run by selecting in the list (using the SHIFT and COMMAND key modifiers)
Only files which have changed are backed up, so the first time you backup may be slow, subsequent backups should be much faster!
This software is no substitute for commercial backup applications, but it does have the advantages that it is very simple (unlike Retrospect), runs on MacOS 8,9 and X (unlike iMsafe) and does not require a .Mac account (unlike Apple Backup), and is FREE.
Disadvantages are that it is slow, does not support scheduling, and cannot initiate network volume connections, and restores must be done manually.
However as an alternative to having NO backups, or for simple home setups, it fits the bill perfectly!

When a message is queued in Eudora, it is time-stamped with the queue time. The queue time will be retained, even if the message is sent hours or days later.
The Re-Q With Current Time script will update the queue time of all queued messages (Re-Queue) to the time that the script is run. It will then send the queued messages and check for new mail.
Enhancements:
- a result of user requests, removes the dialog and adds mail sending and checking. It works nicely as a tool bar button!

uControl is a keyboard remapper and more. Meaning, those useless keys can now be reused, remapped, or reduced.
uControl gives you the ability to take those useless keys, that youre certain would have been better fashioned as something else, and turn them into something useful.
It started out as a simple hack to remap the caps lock key to a control key but has since evolved into a fairly sophisticated means of not only remapping modifier keys, but gives your trackpad a virtual scroll wheel, or gives lefties a sensible mouse, or gives people with disabilities the ability to type with one hand. Note: the one-handed typing ability has been removed due to possible patent infringement.
Main features:
- Swaps your left and right mouse buttons. Contributed by Paul Guyot.
- Apply Settings to a Particular Keyboard since version 1.3.0
- You can choose what keyboard you want a modifier mapping applied to. This is especially useful for external keyboards made for windows boxes that have the Option and Command key swapped (or alt and Windows keys in PC-speak).
- Scroll Wheel Emulation since version 1.2.0
- Gives your track pad, or mouse, a virtual scroll wheel. Hold down the key(s) of your choice, and your track pad instantly becomes a scroll wheel not just for vertical scroll bars, but horizontal ones as well. Use it once and youre hooked. Generously contributed by Alex Harper.
- Real Function Keys since version 1.0.7
- Removes the need to hold down the fn key to access the function keys (useful on laptops). The implementation of this feature was completely redone by Alex Harper in 1.3.5, and it works much, much better than before. It now uses the same method that OS 9 used. Also, many thanks to the Linux PPC folks, Jimi X and Matthias Grim, who discovered how to do the actual ADB muckery that was required.
- Power Delete since version 1.0.7
- Turns shift delete into a forward delete key. Generously contributed by Graham Bakay. (It should also be noted that fn-delete will give you forward delete.)
- Remap Caps Lock to Control since version 1.0.1
- The feature that started it all, and inspired this rant, "Tired of hitting all the wrong modifier keys on your laptop to get that simple control sequence? Are you forced to drag a keyboard around with you that has the control key in the right place? The place that Apple mistakenly put the caps lock key. Take control back! uControl maps your control key to its rightfully intended place on your laptops keyboard; the place thats currently occupied by the oft-unused caps lock key." (Actually as of version 1.0.7 you can remap caps lock to any modifier key.)
- Twerq since version 1.0.1
- Mirrors the key map by holding down the space bar. This is an accessibility feature I added for my mother who has a little trouble with her left hand. It makes one handed typing much easier. (Made available within uControl in version 1.0.7, was previously a separate hack.) Note: this feature has been removed due to possible patent infringement.
