Make Icon can read PDF files and uses the first pageto create the icon. On non PDF files, it tries to open the file as apicture using QuickTime and takes the main image inside the file.

So itshould work with all file types QuickTime can read.e.g. TIFF, JPEG, BMP, Photoshop, GIF, PNG, etc. The source code is included.

Make Thumbnails creates JPEG thumbnails from one or more image files.
You can specify the size and quality level of the thumbnail.
It uses Mac OS Xs Scriptable Image Processing Server, which can read the following image formats: BMP, GIF, JPEG, JPEG2, MacPaint, PDF, Photoshop, PICT, PNG, PSD, QuickTime image, SGI, Text, TGA, and TIFF.

I needed a folder for each month 1-12 for 20 years and this here script was the solution. It will ask you for the name to start with which can be left blank and then how many folders to make.

Make Numbered Folders is a small AppleScript that makes or names user-determined sequentially numbered folders.

Completly freeware.

Select the image or images in your QuarkXPress layout that you want to crop to their picture boxes and run the script. One-by-one Crop Images will open them in PhotoFlash and crop them to match their picture boxes.

The script calculates scaling, resolution, and offset and knows where to crop the image!
Once cropped it will replace the one in the document with the cropped version.

There are preference controls for whether you want the script to use a duplicate file or the original.

You can specify the url of the image anywhere you want. You can fill the Dashboard screen with several images such as weather forecast, satellite image, stock and exchange rate.

One image per one widget, so tile several widgets on your screen. Input the title strings as you like. It will be displayed on the widget. If the image size is small, make the title short. Next, input the url of the image and select one of the update interval. If you specify the link url, the site will be on the default browser when you click the image.

How to find the url of the image :

1. Go to the page that includes your favorite image using the Safari.
2. Press Control and click the image. Select "Open the image in the new window"
3. Copy the image url in the address bar at the top of the Safari.
4. Paste it at the back of PictPane

In case of the image file on the local mac :

1. Find the image with Finder
2. Drag it and drop in the Safari
3. Copy the image url in the address bar at the top of the Safari.
4. Paste it at the back of PictPane.

Make Java Document is an AppleScript which makes a Javadoc application generate a series of HTML document files, and move them into the folder as the Java source files that you have selected.
