Sleep Script - If you want to put your Mac to sleep immediately you would normally switch to the Finder and select "Sleep" from the Special Menu.

By assigning this handy AppleScript application to one of the function keys you can accomplish the same task with a single keystroke.

To allow for an accidental function key hit, the script gives you five seconds to cancel or confirm (on later versions of the Mac Operating System) before putting your computer to sleep. This allows you to hit one key and walk away.

This AppleScript will activate BT CAM, enter your password, play the camera, start the upload, and hide BT CAM.

BT CAM can be used to upload a webcam image at a specified interval, the drawback is that you need to check the FTP Upload box and type in your password every time you start BT CAM. This AppleScript will solve this problem. It sets FTP upload, enters the password, plays the camera, and hides BT CAM when its done. BT CAM saves the ftp server, username, and delay time, but not your password.

To use your FTP password:
Simply open the application in Script Editor, look for the line

And replace abc123 with your password and save.

Snap2GC invokes the Unix Screencapture command to interactively take a snapshot of a portion of the screen (drag and release mouse). This is saved to the clipboard. GraphicConverter for OS X is then started and the clipboard contents are loaded.

Sends keystroke to the application to achieve this. There is an Applescript function built-in to GC that loads the clipboard but the keystroke technique may be useful for other "non-scriptable" apps.
