"Learning Card Organizer" can make the learning of text-based factual knowledge, e.g. vocabulary much easier.
This application is a virtual card index-box with 5 compartments. Each compartment stores virtual cards with questions and answers which have been learned to varying degrees of intensity.
Assessment of whether a question has been answered satisfactorily or if a word has been learned thoroughly has to be decided by the learner himself.

Xkeys allows you to open applications, files and folders just by pressing a function key. Function keys can have submenus, further extending the amount of items you can access quickly.
Xkeys can be put on standby with a keystroke and is able to run Applescripts on demand.

ComicViewer lets you quickly and easily view all your favorite webcomics. You can add new webcomics to it quickly, and it includes a helper to assist you in determining the correct search pattern for each comic.

The only thing it can not do is view comics that use more than one image in the comic (if people request it, this may show up in a future release).

Just open the app, select the comic you want, hit Check Site, relax and read your comic. Its as simple as that.

ComicViewer is also AppleScriptable. You can tell it to check any known comic from an AppleScript easily, allowing you to do such things as automatically check all your comics when you log in to your computer in the morning.

TCplus is a calculator with integrated time code functions. It works with time code values in all common formats, as well as Keykode and feet and meter lengths of film. The calculator uses inverse polish notation (IPN), which is well known to users of HP calculators.
You can use the keyboard or the buttons to enter Time Code. Just type the numbers; the colons for the Time Code are entered automatically.
The general rule is to key in the first value, then press ENTER, then the second value, then the operation.
(For all examples shown here, "number" means a frame value format, "tc" means any other format (Time Code, Keykode, etc.)
If you enter a decimal point when a Time Code format is selected, the value is interpreted as a number of frames.
In the Keykode, feet:frames and meter.cm format, the decimal point serves as a separator (dont use + or :).

Heres an AppleScript droplet to compress files and folders with the unix utility "gnutar" which comes with the Apple Developer Tools. This script equals to manually typing "gnutar zcf" with Terminal.
You can have a choice of the archive name. By default, the current date suffix in yyyymmdd format is added.
I built this script to save myself a few seconds every time I back up my files (which happens many times daily). This script is provided to you "AS IS" and the responsibility for its operation is yours. However you should avoid putting any of these , ", /, :, etc. in the file name.
