Capture Me is a screen capture utility for Mac OS X which features a floating capture window and resize ability.
Capture Me is very easy to use - just drag and resize the floating window to cover the area you want to capture. Then click in the window to capture the screenshot. You can resize it, copy it to the clipboard, and save it in a variety of formats and locations. Its behavior is customizable with respect to what happens after a capture.
What advantage does Capture Me hold over the built in OS X screencapture facility? For some tasks, the answer is simple - there is none - the built in capture is elegant and easy to use.
However, there are occasions when its nice to be able to choose what file format your capture saves in, copy it to the clipboard without holding down four keys at once, or resize it on the fly.
Its also common to want to take successive shots of the exact same position on the screen without moving the capture region at all, or make all your captures the same size.
These tasks are trivial with Capture Me, but difficult at best with the built in utilities. Another possible use is as a floating capture pad - see the comments in the review section for an example of one user who does this.

Simple Image Browser (SIB) is a basic program for viewing folders full of images in an easy to navigate interface. Designed for browsing the image archive from Diiva Newsgroup Downloader, SIB offers full keyboard navigation for a two folder depth structure.

Upload X takes a file or files (via drag and drop) or a bunch of files and transfers them over a network to a remote volume. Can be used as an Image Capture Script to transfer images downloaded from camera directly to a remote volume.

Capture That! 1.2 has come with the ability to allow you to change the default file format and the default path for screen capture service in Mac OS X

Draw Caption on Image is a script that adds a text caption to the bottom of image files.

It is has numerous configurable options that can be modified by setting the properties at the beginning of the script.

HTML Image Inserter is an utility that takes a base HTML file, a string of text, and a folder of images and generates an HTML file for each image replacing the string of text in the base file with an HTML tag for that image.

Supported on Mac OS X 10.4.2 and up, not tested on systems previous to 10.4.2.

SortImagesGUI is a little Java program helps you sorting your images from digital still image cameras. It reads the EXIF-Header of the JPEG-Files an copies the images from the source dir to a centralized target dir sorted by year, month and day.
The files are renamed to represent their capture date and time. So you will have a Image repository sorted by capture date of the images.
Additionally some of the image meta informations will be stored in a database along with the MD5 hash of the image as primary key. SortImages check each image beforce copying if its already in the database. If not, the image will sorted into the appropriate folder.
Enhancements:
- Ignores the special MacOS Finder meta files which may also have a .jpg ending.
- A database dump is written to the destination directory to make backup easier.
