The YE Data custom icon utility solves a simple annoyance with digital media card readers. Instead of getting generic "removable media" icons went inserting a media card, a hi-resolution icon that actually represents the media card inserted is displayed on the desktop and finder.
The custom icons make it much easier to find the right media card you want to access and it is also much more visualy pleasing. The driver will only work with card readers manufacturered by YE Data.

Desktop Icon Manager 2.0

Desktop Icon Manager (DIM) is an AppleScript which saves and restores the icon positions on the desktop. There are applications and other scripts that do the same thing, so why is this one different?
DIM doesnt get confused when you store the icon positions at one screen resolution and then restore them at a different screen resolution. In other words, if an icon is at the bottom right corner of the display when the icon positions are stored then that icon will always be placed at the bottom right corner regardless of the screen resolution. Theres only one application that I know of which does that, but they want money to do it. Other applications/scripts allow you to save multiple icon positions at different screen resolutions. Thats fine if you want to adjust your icon positions for each screen resolution you use. My question is why? You got a Mac sitting in front of you, let her do it.

Icon Rescue converts Icon 7 and Zonkers! icon collections more>>
Icon Rescue is a freeware drag&drop utility that converts Icon 7 and Zonkers! icon collections to folders containing separate custom icon files. I wrote it for Icon Archiver users who were stuck with old icon collections from these obsolete utilities, since both of them can only extract one icon at a time (which is really a pain if you have large collections containing thousands of icons).
To convert your old Icon 7 and Zonkers! collections, drop them on the Icon Rescue icon in the Finder or open them with the Convert command in the File menu.
The converted icons are saved in the same folder as the original collection, so the collection itself shouldnt be on a locked or full disk
After your icons are converted, you may want to try out my cool Icon Archiver utility.
