fovCalculater is handy application for determining the number of photos necessary to make a panorama.

The user inputs the lens focal lenght and sensor/film size or a focal length multiplier and fovCalculator returns the portrait and landscape field of view.

Additionally, the number of images required to create a panorama is displayed.

What is a SVCD?
Its a film stored on a CD that you can read on your personal DVD reader, as if it was a normal DVD. A SVCD is very similar; it offers a better image quality but isnt compatible with old DVD players.

QuickTime image importers for the Cineon and DPX graphics formats, commonly used for film work. Both importers support 10 bit per channel log images, which are converted to 8 bit with a lookup table.

A sample lookup table is provided, it goes in ~/Library/Preferences on OS X, and in the Preferences folder in the System Folder on OS 9. The DPX importer also supports 10 bit per channel YCbCr 4:2:2 images.
