PlayerWeigher was inspired by a classroom lesson I observed. It provides students a simple interface for entering and comparing the data of athletes of a sport using different techniques that can yield completely different results.
PlayerWeigher is a educational tool that introduces statistical analysis for students.

An example file containing player data from MLB is provided.

Magic Pen is an application that allows you to draw on top of your screen (with your mouse, not a "real" pen silly!), much like overhead pens allow you to write on top of an overhead.

Magic Pen works on a pad system - you start with one pad as soon as you open it up. You can clear your current pad from the menu, or start a new pad from the menu. You can make as many pads as you like and move between them at will. Each pad also support infinite undo and redo.

When youre done drawing on the pad, you can switch Magic Pen to inactive mode, allowing your clicks to go through the pad instead of onto the pad, and hence allowing you to continue with your presentation as proper.

The next time you activate Magic Pen (through the Dock, for example), youll be able to draw on your pad again. Your drawing pen can be customized to have different line widths and color.

If youve created a work of art and would like to print your pad (just your drawing, not the stuff behind it), you can do that to (landscape looks the best).

I created the DecoderRing app for a lesson plan I was to make for my Curriculum and Instruction 302 class at the University of Illinois @ Urbana-Champaign. The inspiration behind this app (and its main purpose) is to be a way to introduce the properties of functions and inverses.
Enhancements:
- Fixed strange behavior with mappings from one letter to multiple letters greater than 2.
- Added drawer that contains found problems for decoding and encoding
- Improved instructional messages when checking a submitted error
- Created better Teacher ReadMe.rtf file
- Changed help sheet data to present a student with instructions instead of just displaying the Teacher ReadMe.rtf file.

MediaDock is a simple companion to Apples Dock, providing a place for mounted media such as CDs, DVDs, Disk Images, and Hard drives to reside. Just like the dock, MediaDock allows you to enable hiding as well as pinning with a twist - centered pinning keeps the dock centered on its side of the screen; top pinning keeps the top left corner of MediaDock fixed, meaning mounts and unmounts cause the bottom of MediaDock to move. Why?

Because you may want MediaDock to be 3/4 up the left hand side of the screen instead of all the way up to the menubar - dragging the border makes the choice in positioning yours. MediaDock gives you easy access to applications scuh as iTunes and iDVD, as well as directory access to files and folders on mounted media.
