Free duplicate software for mac

Ambriel Snake is the developers take on the popular genre and a first game release. Its a freeware release but if you love it so much feel you have to give us something (it could happen...) consider registering Duplicate Catcher.

The AOL Service Assistant enables you to set up the following Apple applications to work with the AOL service:
• Mail - The AOL Service Assistant makes it easy to configure Mac OS X Mail to send and receive AOL mail. If youve used the existing AOL for Mac OS X product, you can also import your incoming and outgoing messages from your Personal Filing Cabinet into Mail.
• iChat - You can now easily set up iChat to work with your Screen Name.
• Address Book - Using the AOL Service Assistant, you can now easily import your AOL Address Book contacts into your Mac OS X Address Book without bringing in duplicate entries.
• Safari - AOL Service Assistant enables you to import your Favorite Places into a folder in the Safari Bookmarks Bar.

This script just removes duplicate Entries in iCals.

Dupicate entries are defined as having the same Entries except for the UID bit.
A special feature is support for duplicate BirthdayCal entries as well.

Be aware that you need Perl, Config::Inifiles via Perlupdate ( perl -MCPAN -e shell install Config::IniFiles ).

Copy folder tree is an AppleScript that duplicates a folder structure from a selected node into another selected folder.
It will optionally copy or move files of certain types that it finds in the process.

I wrote this for a specifc purpose*, but hopefully the ideas can be used to suit similar needs. I was helped along by scripts posted here by Dan Decker and Robert Metzker, so I thought Id share the results.

*My particular need was to duplicate the folder structure of my iTunes Music Library into a spot where it would get backed up, but not copy the music files themselves. What I wanted to back up were the image files I had found/created, and in the process remove them from the library, since they didnt seem to "belong" there.

Select the image or images in your QuarkXPress layout that you want to crop to their picture boxes and run the script. One-by-one Crop Images will open them in PhotoFlash and crop them to match their picture boxes.

The script calculates scaling, resolution, and offset and knows where to crop the image!
Once cropped it will replace the one in the document with the cropped version.

There are preference controls for whether you want the script to use a duplicate file or the original.

xPodClone is the ultimate backup tool for all your devices, it copies easily cds, dvds, folders, directories. You can drag and drop files into the window.
The software will find all protected files or hidden files of an iPod, hard disk and what you want. If you need for example to backup an iPod, you click on your iPod which is on your desktop (for Mac users) or in my Computer (for window users) and drag it into xPodClone, the you choose where you want to copy it and click on "Clone".

Shade Overlay is an AppleScript that will lighten or darken an area of a selected image in QuarkXPress. This is often done to place text over an image and still have it readable.

To use, place a text or picture box (can even be a polygon) over the part of the image you wish to effect, select the overlay box and the image, and run the script.

The script has preferences for setting the brightness and contrast of either the area covered by the overlay box or the area around the overlay box.

There are preference controls for whether you want the script to use a duplicate file or the original.
