Adobe Acrobat 5.0 further supports Network Publishing by making information available over a broad range of hardware and software.

The Save As XML Plug-In for Acrobat 5.0 allows users to save time by repurposing content. Users can now easily save content into XML, HTML or plain text from a tagged Adobe PDF file and place that content in other tools to reuse the information.

A tagged Adobe PDF file can be generated from Microsoft Office 2000 applications, by using the Acrobat 5.0 Web Capture feature to convert a website to Adobe PDF, by using the Make Accessible Plug-In, or by sending PostScript+pdfmark through Acrobat Distiller.

The structure which the creating program embeds in the PDF file will come back out in the XML or HTML generated by the Save As XML Plug-In.

SiloX provides a graphical user interface for creating and editing document conversion lists as well as initiating conversion of documents specified in such lists.
iSiloX provides many conversion options, pulls together source content and can apply security attributes to converted documents.
Enhancements:
- When a set of source HTML files contains a hyperlink to an image, one or more other images in the document may disappear.
- When converting a local file, the application may report the file as having an unsupported content type.

DoubleScroll is a control panel which gives your Macintosh double arrows at both ends of your scroll bars, allowing you toscroll in both directions from one location. Requires MacOS 8.

A couple of friends recently asked me about where they could have a couple pages of text translated into readable english for them. I explained to them about using online translation engines, but unfortunately, these folks are far from skilled web users. I translated the docs for them. However, this made me think about providing a quick interface to the free services already on the web for you to use, and hence, the birth of jTranslator.
jTranslator is a translation program that utilizes online translation tools.
jTranslator interface to the most long lived and popular babel fish engine to translate between English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. The program however also provides some choices for having your text changed into a different dialect using another service available on the web. So you can have your text changed into dialects such as redneck, jive, elmer fudd and more.
Enhancements:
- Added escaped for characters that the engines would not handle. There are some accented characters that it will not handle, the one I know for sure is listed in the readme.

The QuarkXPress Filter for Spotlight enhances the capabilities of the Spotlight feature. Use it to search contents of QuarkXPress documents such as text, font names, style sheets, and layouts on your computer.

If you are using a version of QuarkXPress earlier then QuarkXPress 6, you can only search for text in QuarkXPress documents. Other features are available to users of QuarkXPress 6 and later. The QuarkXPress Filter for Spotlight runs only on Mac OS platforms.

QuarkXPress Filter for Spotlight enables searches in QuarkXPress documents that have a .qxp or .qxd extension.

Cookie is an AppleScript quote/phrase/tip generator. Unlike others, its library is plain text, so you can add or edit anything. Supports an unlimited number of quotes.
It comes with large library of classic quotations.

hfspax is a simple replacement command line tool for the pax utility, which archives and restores from Mac OS X HFS+ volumes.
hfspax has complete support for resource forks and Finder info, unlike other tools.

x2POWER is a small AppleScript which will convert each InDesign document into a fully editable PowerPoint presentation, and each page in the document converted into its own slide in the presentation.
