JAlbum 8.3.5 is designed to make your nice albums with comments and with it you can use any imaginable language. Album supports deep hierachies of image folders. Each folder is represented by a folder icon in the resulting web. With JAlbum you can easily organize thousands of images. Movie files like mpg, avi and wmv can also be added to albums, not just images.

- Really advanced album functions can be scripted in a Java-like language called BeanShell. This allows for limitless extensions to JAlbum.
- Its a JavaBean! The inner engine of JAlbum is a JavaBean meaning that you can easily integrate it into existing Java applications. An example could be inside a webserver for automated album generation. Here is an API for the bean.
- It runs in console mode too (shell window). This allows for easy automation repeating album generation tasks through batch files etc.

Anyone using a computer spends a lot of time locating files and applications and carrying out actions on those items. CODEC is a 4th Dimension component which provides MD5 digest creation routines for 4th Dimension programmers.
CODEC is a subset of functions available already in the BASh 4D component.
In keeping with the tradition of offering high quality developer tools and services, Deep Sky Technologies, Inc., has made the CODEC component available for free to the developer community.
The CODEC component consists of two methods for the creation of MD5 digests:
CODEC_Encode_MD5_x creates a properly formatted MD5 digest directly from a supplied 4D text value.
CODEC_Encode_MD5_z creates a properly formatted MD5 digest directly from a referenced 4D BLOB value.
Both methods are immediately available for use upon installing the CODEC component. No plugins, external documents, or initialization is needed to begin using the methods. CompareTopLevel is a small AppleScript that compares the top level items of a folder with another folder and copies the new and/or the changed items into a new (3rd) folder.
It is especially useful for comparing a folder with its backed up copy on a CD-R(W) disc, to find only the new and/or the changed items to be burned onto a new disc or a session.
It does not go deep levels while comparing, it compares only the top level items of the selected folder and the inserted CD-R(W) disc.
Enhancements:
- An occasional time out error has been fixed.

Entourage has the ability to export a folder full of messages as an industry standard UNIX-like Mailbox format (MBOX file). This is a quick and easy way of archiving mail out of Entourage, either for routine backup or when changing mail porgrammes.
However, if you have a lot of folders, frequently nested several levels deep, this process becomes a tedious and time consuming one. This script will save ALL your folders, now matter how deep they are nested (well, OK, there will be a limit, but its more than 8 levels in tests I have carried out)
