Well, my dad got a new eMac and asked me for an easy way to burn a CD from a folder. So I created this small application. You just drop a folder on it, insert a CD-R or DVD-R, hit the Write button and your CD is burned.
Because of a bug with Mac OS X 10.3 in the Speed Test, currently no Speed Test is performed before burning is started. So burning may fail if the source folder cant deliver data fast enought. (e.g. with a folder from a network volume with a bad or low performance connection.)
This application is freeware and provided as is. Donations are welcome.

Installing the SuperDrive Firmware Update
Follow these steps to install the update:

3. Double-click the SuperDrive Firmware Update icon.
4. Type in your administrator password.
5. Click Update.
If you cannot update the firmware using this program, contact your local Apple Authorized Service Provider or an Apple Store retail location.
Important: Do not reset, shut down, or turn off power to your computer while updating the firmware. Doing so may damage your SuperDrive.

Sizzle takes MPEG-2 video and combines it with either MPEG Layer-II ("MP2") or Dolby Digital ("AC3") audio to create a disc image that can be burned to a recordable DVD or CD with a program like Disc Copy or Roxio Toast.
Enhancements:
- Disc image creation is faster now, and DVD menu buttons should work better on more DVD players.
- German and French localizations are also included, finally, much apologies to my translators whose work has been siting on my hard drive for months and months.
- 9-button bug is fixed, too. And even though NO ONE requested this freaking feature, you can now choose the scratch folder for people with small boot drives. Im sure this isnt useful to ANYONE.

Using built-in Automator steps, this action takes a selected file(s) or folder(s) and burns a CD of it/them using the disc name "CD".
This theoretically should work for DVDs as well, but I havent tested it in this use (Youll probably want to edit the action and change the "CD" to "DVD" in the naming field).
Good for quickie burns. The resulting CDs appear to be readable on PCs as well, with none of the extra stuff like .DS_Store and resource forks. Use in "Finder Plugin" mode install by double-clicking the included applescript.

iPhSwitch provides a simple drag-and-drop method of switching iPhoto libraries. Simply drag the iPhoto library folder you want to use onto the application.
The default folder is called "iPhoto Library" and is found in the "Pictures" folder in your home directory. To create a new library, simply make a new folder anywhere in the Finder and drag it onto the iPhSwitch application icon.
If iPhoto is running when you attempt to change libraries, iPhSwitch will quit it for you and relaunch it once the library has been set.
