RandomMIDI - Produces random sequences of pitches from notes more>>
RandomMIDI produces "random" sequences of pitches from notes played on an on-screen piano keyboard image. Randomly assigned note duration values range from whole- to sixteenth-notes. The sequences are saved as "type 1" MIDI files using the default piano sound (GM voice 1) at 120 BPM (beats per minute).
The voice and tempo can, of course, be changed by the MIDI file-playing application or device. Files produced by RandomMIDI open by default with the QuickTime Player application.
Entering a note more than once will "weight" the sequence towards that note; this can be useful in creating more tonal-sounding sequences.

Beat Direktor is a widget designed for video artists who work with music on a regular basis. You simply enter the BPM (beats per minute, or tempo) of the song you are using, the frame rate at which you are working at, and the beats per measure (generally 4 for pop music). Click the kompute button, and it tells you how many video frames there are per beat of music, measure, and 4 measures. Very handy for synching up animation and music!
Future updates may allow you to specify changes in song pattern for easy keyframing in another app.

But thats not all folks... The Audio Calculator also does the exact opposite. Say you have this little sampled loop, and would like to know the exact tempo (BPM)? Just type in the duration (milliseconds) and the number of notes/beats, and voila!
The Audio Calculator is very accurate, and works just fine with decimals (after the ".").
