AC3 Codec is a QuickTime component which allows the playback of AC3 audio inAVI files. The component uses the liba52 library for the AC3decompressing.

First you need DivX 5.1 which correctly load the AVI file into QuickTime. Once you have DivX 5.1 installed, if you are on MacOS X, drop "AC3 Codec.component" into /Library/QuickTime, or if you are on MacOS 8.x/9.x, drop "AC3 Codec" into your Extensions folder and restart.

Thats it ! Now open an AVI file that has AC3 audio, and play !

- MIDI Hardware: Access to MIDI hardware is gained over the Mac OS X standard known as "Core MIDI". This means that OMS, MidiManager and MidiShare is no longer needed. For the Unitor8 MkII, AMT8 and MT4, a Core MIDI-Unitor-Family-Driver is already available for USB interfacing. Core MIDI drivers are also available from other manufacturers such as Edirol, Event Electronics, Evolution, M-Audio (Midiman), Motu, Roland and Tascam. - Audio Hardware: Access to audio hardware is handled using the Mac OS X standard known as "Core Audio". Mac DVD On Demand is a suite that lets you choose a movie using DVDPedia and have it play on your TV. Simply select a movie from the catalog, select a remote Mac to play it on, and click play. There are two bundles to install, one made for the player that is hooked up to the TV, and the other is made for the laptop you would use to choose the movie and control the Player. You can install both bundles if you plan on selecting the movie and playing it on the same machine. MacDVDRemote is included. This is a standalone application that starts up when you choose your movie and lets you control playback as if you were on the remote machine. All keyboard shortcuts have been properly mapped.
You could be sitting on the couch, choose the movie you would like to watch using DVDPedia and have it start playing.

AddRemoveButtons Control is a custom control which appears and behaves like the +/- buttons found in certain places in Mac OS X such as the Accounts preference pane in System Preferences.

Drop this plugin in the iTunes plugins directory, and enable it in iTunes, and you can then use hot keys (or preferably a programable foot pedal) to control audio playback, pause, skip forward/backward, while typing in your word processor (or using any other application).

FMOD is a cross platform audio library that supports a wide range of audio formats and playback options, including a physically correct 3D audio engine. FMOD Wrappers offers you classes and modules that implement a subset of FMODs functionality via familiar REALbasic style interfaces.

This project was initially conceived to overcome the lack of waveform sample memory sharing in REALbasics built-in Sound class. REALbasic 5.5 introduced the Sound.Clone method, which addressed that limitation to some extent, but the Sound class is still far behind in terms of functionality when compared to FMODs features.

Unlike the built-in Sound class, the FMOD Wrapper classes separate the playback mechanism (FMODsound Class) from the sound sample data (FMODsample Class). This allows any FMODsound object to play back and manipulate any FMODsample, regardless if it is already being used by another FMODsound instance. Think of FMODsample as the actual "noise", and FMODsound as a "speaker" that can playback and manipulate any noise passed to it.

Other than that fundamental difference, the FMOD Wrapper classes function in a very similar manner to the built-in Sound class, but also take advantage of some of FMODs more advanced features. The FMODmusic and FMODstream classes by their very nature do not make a distinction between the sample and playback mechanism, and work essentially the same as the built-in Sound class.
