MacAnalysis is a program intended to avoid all intrusions and damages caused by hackers. The method of Macanalysis is indeed simple, it hacks your server (Unix, NT, Mac) like any experienced hacker and informs you how it did proceed and how to solve the backdoors efficiently (1200 holes recorded).

StreamEdit is a utility that allows you to modify a TCP stream or UDP datagrams. It does this by tunnelling the data through itself and then allow you to edit it arbitrarly or use real-time filters.

Those filters can modify the data or trigger actions. The main purpose of StreamEdit is security analysis, but it can serve many more. From protocol analysis to intrusion detection testing, possibilities are endless.

This (Java) application is a collage of coding projects which I have written over the past several years for various clients in my work as a bioinformatics consultant. These clients have graciously allowed me to release these works into the public domain as freeware.

The goal of BioX is to bring easy-to-use sequence analysis to Mac-using biologists. It features graphical editors for sequences and multiple alignments, and supports opening and saving of many different sequence file formats.
Analysis functions currently include searching for primers, restriction sites and repeats, calculating DNA melting temperature, translation and back translation, multiple alignment and more.
BioX takes advantage of the Unix underpinnings of Mac OS X by using command line sequence analysis tools from the ebiotools package (which contains software from the EMBOSS project, among others). By presenting these Unix tools in the form of a Mac application, BioX leverages the best of both worlds.

The JANFEA application is finite element and material point method analysis software for the Macintosh. JANFEA was written by Prof. John A. Nairn from the Material Science and Engineering Department at the University of Utah.
JANFEA is focused on two-dimensional and axisymmetric solid mechanics of linear elastic materials and a few nonlinear material options in the material point method. Within this focus, JANFEA is a very powerful package. It can do several element types, it can analyze any size problem, it has extensive fracture options, and has many ways to plot the results.
Main features:
- 2D and axisymmetric FEA analysis of linear elastic materials. All FEA calculations are static analyses. The FEA calculations support several element types. There is also a custom element for analysis of composite with imperfect interfaces.
- 2D material point methods calculations. All MPM calculations are dynamic analyses. The section of JANFEA is new and will be expanding in the future.
- Built in programming language for setting up the mesh. The language is scriptable for automated control of multiple FEA or MPM analysis.
- A large number of plotting options: 2D, 3D surfaces, 3D contours, grid plots, movies of MPM results, and more.

- Everything is documented in the on-line help. You can even print out the on-line help to get a 150 page manual.
Version restrictions:
- Registration screen at startup.
- Limited to calculations with 200 nodes or less.

Mac ChiSquare Analysis calculates chi-square statistic as well as phi, contingency, and kappa coefficients from up to a 10 x 10 table.

The chi-square test is used to compare the distributions of two independent samples. It is used with data in the form of frequencies. It is a nonparametric procedure that makes no assumptions about distribution shapes, variances, or levels of measurement (Diekhoff, 1996).

The chi-square test evaluates the correspondence between the expected and the observed number of cases in each of the cells of the variable by variable contingency table (Thompson, 1988). It is a test of whether or not a null hypothesis of no association should be rejected between the two independent variables.

If the chi-square test shows that there is a relationship between the two variables, then the contingency coefficient gives an indication of the degree of the relationship. (Bruning & Kintz, 1997). The contingency coefficient is similar in meaning to the correlation coefficient.

Cramers phi coefficient is a measure of association that is also similar to a correlation coefficient. It can assume a value between 0 and +1. See Sheskin (2000) for further detail.

Kappa is calculated when the rows and columns are symmetrical. Kappa is often used to examine inter-observer agreement and reflects the amount of agreement beyond chance (Norman & Streiner, 2000).

Monte Carlo PCA computes parallel analysis criteria (eigenvalues) for deteremining number of factors to retain for rotation in factor analysis.
