BCE is a little app that I wrote in my spare time when I first got a barcode reader. Its designed to help with looking up informaton on books and other items with barcodes.

BCE supports the UPC-a, ISBN and Borders BINC barcode formats.

Scanning a barcode with an ASCII barcode scanner, or inputing the code data manually, brings up a little window with all the information obtainable from the barcode, and options for places online to look up information. BINC codes also present which store it was purchased from.

iPod Express is an AppleScript item to create vCards (Contacts) for Apples iPod from the Address Book in Outlook Express.
iPod Express can also be used to export the Outlook Express Address Book to Mac OS Xs Address Book (select Import vCards in the OS X Address Book).
Works in Classic.

The Check and change SMTP server with Airport location script changes the SMTP server on specific mail accounts in mail.app automatically according to pre-defined, specific Airport locations (not regular "locations").

I needed a script that could do this, because I like my Powerbook to be in "Automatic" mode as much as possible without me having to swich back and forth between different locations all the time.

If you have a dynamic IP address at home and you want to know what your current IP address is, youre often at a loss.

The IP Mailer for Outlook Express script is a solution to this problem. Whenever it is run, it sends your current IP address by email to an email address you provide. You can use a web-based free email service for this. You can tell your favorite email client to run this script from within a schedule, or you can make it run whenever your computer starts up.

Apple AirPort Update 2006-001 fixes reliability and resolves AirPort compatibility issues with certain third party 802.11 cards and access points for Mac OS X v10.4.3 and later.

NOTE : Apple has released two updates affecting Airport; you only need install one, following the guide below, or by using the Software Update utility (available in the Apple menu). Your OS build number can be found by choosing "About This Mac" in the Apple menu, and clicking once on "Version 10.x"

Do you use Rogue Amoebas Airfoil v2 to direct your application audio to speakers connected to your Airport Express base station?
Click the applications icon in Airfoil Source Selector to get Airfoil to hijack the audio. Click on the Airfoil Source Selector icon in the window to connect/disconnect the speakers to Airfoil. Note: the audio source applications (e.g. Firefox) need to be installed in your /Applications folder.
If a sound source application cannot be found when Airfoil Source Selector launches, the related icon will be disabled.
