PPPoE is a Macintosh port of the Roaring Penguins PPPoE daemon for Mac OS X.

It enables internet connections via ADSL when the ISP uses PPP protocol over Ethernet.

ADSL internet reconnect is an AppleScript that checks internet connection each 1000 secs and reconnects if necessary.

The purpose is to avoid problems I experienced with my ADSL service provider. I got disconnected every couple of hours, and after each drop, for next 5-15 minutes the connection couldnt be established at all.

If automatic redial was applied all the time , the connection never got established. I realized that situation must be IDLE for these 5-15 minutes, in order to make a connection possible again. Same happened with 2 different ADSL modems. You can also simply edit the delay time yourself.

Customers from the Portuguese ISP Sapo Adsl can use this widget to check the total bandwidth usage for the last 30 days.

SunPosition Widget is a small tool that will help you connect to the SunPosition database and return calculations for: Sunrise, Sunset, Civil Dawn, Civil Dusk, Sunrise azimuth, Sunset azimuth, Latitude, Longitude and Magnetic declination for the selected location.
The SunPosition widget will plot the suns path at 15 minute intervals for the selected date and location. Members can access the data printout page for that current selection directly from the widget. Azimuth, altitude calculations follow the sun through its path.
This widget is free to everyone, although SunPosition members get full access to all 48,532 location entries while non members have limited access to approximately 8,000 locations.
Every time you make a selection a spinner will appear in the top right corner of the widget to show data is being loaded, wait until the spinner stops before continuing each step. Data normally loads very fast, this of course depends on your connection but in tests it takes between 0.5 to 1 second per query with 1 Mb ADSL.
The widget has a built in mechanism to cache data, depending on the type of data this cache will be stored for a set time, so if you load the locations for United States then this information will be available without having to reconnect to the server for 72 hours, therefore making the widget even faster to use.

The widget cache can be cleared using the Command - R keys.

Launch! Usage Meter is a Mac OS X application displaying usage statistics on Telstras broadband network. It is useful for ADSL and Satellite users, and cable users not using Launch!.
Launch! Usage Meter has two possible interfaces - a window interface, and a status icon in the menu. Usage statistics are automatically updated to show current unrated usage. Links to useful cable related web pages are provided in a slide out drawer and the status menu. If you go over your monthly download allowance limit, Launch! Usage Meter can inform you of expected costs that you will incur. Preferences allow you to set your login name and password, along with other options such as usage statistics updates and your current broadband plan.
The icon for Launch! Usage Meter also shows when the application is running (red flames on the icon in the dock) and a usage statistics meter.
