ICQ ("I seek you") is a very popular program that notifies you in real-time when friends or colleagues are online. Once they are online, you can send them messages, chat, play games, exchange files, and more.
Enhancements:
- Interoperability with AIM and iChat instant messengers. You can add users from those messengers to your Contact List and exchange instant messages with them.

AOL is an online service that provides internet access, private internet communities, chat areas, news, information, web browsing, and more. This is the client application used to connect to the AOL internet service.

URL Scheduler launches a URL in the web browser specified in your Internet preferences. For repeated launches an interval (every five minutes, every hour etc.) may be specified.

ADSL internet reconnect is an AppleScript that checks internet connection each 1000 secs and reconnects if necessary.

The purpose is to avoid problems I experienced with my ADSL service provider. I got disconnected every couple of hours, and after each drop, for next 5-15 minutes the connection couldnt be established at all.

If automatic redial was applied all the time , the connection never got established. I realized that situation must be IDLE for these 5-15 minutes, in order to make a connection possible again. Same happened with 2 different ADSL modems. You can also simply edit the delay time yourself.

AccessManagerConnector is an AppleScript to persistently connect to the internet via the Sympatico ADSL PPPoE client "Access Manager".

Note: Access Manager throws up a script-stopping error dialog if connection fails within a timeout of about 25 to 30 seconds. The connectTryTimeout property is used to avoid this dialog.

Customers from the Portuguese ISP Sapo Adsl can use this widget to check the total bandwidth usage for the last 30 days.

Unfortunately, the routines in the Finder which recognize something as a valid URL leave a lot to be desired. In particular, URLs using non-standard protocols or containing actual spaces are almost never recognized properly.
