4D for Dreamweaver MX is a plug-in that allows you to integration dynamic 4D database data into your Dreamweaver built web pages.

CODEC is a 4th Dimension component which provides MD5 digest creation routines for 4th Dimension programmers.

CODEC is a subset of functions available already in the BASh 4D component.

In keeping with the tradition of offering high quality developer tools and services, Deep Sky Technologies, Inc., has made the CODEC component available for free to the developer community.

The CODEC component consists of two methods for the creation of MD5 digests:
• CODEC_Encode_MD5_x creates a properly formatted MD5 digest directly from a supplied 4D text value.
• CODEC_Encode_MD5_z creates a properly formatted MD5 digest directly from a referenced 4D BLOB value.

Both methods are immediately available for use upon installing the CODEC component. No plugins, external documents, or initialization is needed to begin using the methods. And, all of the code in the CODEC component is set up to handle even the most stringent 4D Compiler settings (e.g. All Variables are Typed).

HTTP Log Deux is a 4th Dimension component which provides a cross-platform, flexible web log generator. HTTP Log Deux works in conjunction with HTTP Server Deux, another 4D component available from Deep Sky Technologies, Inc. With HTTP Log Deux, 4D developers can in as little as three lines of code create standard, compliant based web logs for all web requests serviced by HTTP Server Deux.

HTTP Log Deux works on top of the HTTP Server Deux component. TCP Server Deux HTTP Server Deux is a 4th Dimension component which provides a cross-platform, flexible web server. HTTP Server Deux gives 4D developers all of the parsing, formatting, and utility routines needed for a robust and functionally complete web server in 4D.

TCP Server Deux provides all of the listener handling, threading, process management, and internal communications needed within any custom server written in 4th Dimension.

The HTTP Log Deux, HTTP Server Deux, TCP Server Deux and TCP Deux components require that the BASh component also be installed to operate properly.

SMTP Client Deux is a 4th Dimension component which provides a complete implementation of the SMTP protocol. SMTP Client Deux works on top of the commercial TCP Deux 4D component, also available from Deep Sky Technologies, Inc.
With the SMTP Client Deux component, a 4th Dimension developer has complete implementation of the SMTP protocol from within 4D. The protocol relies on the TCP Deux component for all TCP communication needs, thereby removing any reliance on current or future TCP plugins which are available for use in 4D. The implementation of SMTP within the SMTP Client Deux component also eliminates long bugs and anomalies that have existed in plugin implementations of the SMTP protocol.
The single greatest feature of SMTP Client Deux is that it does not use the SMTP layer within 4D Internet Commands. Over the years, many developers have encountered different bugs and anomalies within the SMTP implementation of 4D Internet Commands.
SMTP Client Deux uses the routines within the TCP Deux component package for all TCP communications, which themselves only use the TCP layer within 4D Internet Commands when that plugin is in use.
So, most if not all errors which 4D developers experience when sending email with 4D Internet Commands are removed when using SMTP Client Deux.

4D WebMail is a browser plug-in that allows you to connect and manage your email POP accounts via the web. It iscompatible withSMTP or POP3 email servers and supports Virtual Hosts. 4D WebMail canbe used from any browser to read, reply, forward, send and fileemail.

Easily administered and customized, 4D Webmail contains abuilt-in address book, search capability and file management. Userscan send and receive attachments, plus tailor their own mailformatting, signatures, and other user information.

Fix Up 4D (FU4D) is a set of 4D Extensions which enhance, improve, and correct the 4D development and runtime environment. 4D Extensions allow for the actual 4D environment to be patched, repaired, and improved. FU4D provides a comprehensive basis of individual improvements to the 4D environment which all 4D developers can take advantage of immediately.
The documents included in the FU4D package all work independently of each other and there is no requirement that any combination of them be used at any time. This makes it simple for the developer to choose which improvements in particular benefit development and only install the 4D extension documents in FU4D package which are most useful.
FU4D works with both 4th Dimension and 4D Client, as long as the FU4D documents are in the 4D Extensions folder next to the currently running 4D based application.

FU4D_Explorer.4XR:
- Vertical splitter has been added next to hierarchical listing;
- Object method added to twiddle to allow for proper resizing of collapsing form with respect to the new splitter;
FU4D_Find.4XR:
- Enterable area has been widened to more easily accommodate longer search strings; the wrapping of longer search strings now occurs at approximately 40 characters instead of the default 25 characters;
- Form has been widened to accommodate widened enterable area;
- Popup selection defaults to All when form opens; this is obviously the most used option in the Find form;
- Previous search string is selected when form opens; no more need to select the previous search results by selecting the text, instead developer can just start typing to replace the selected search string;
- Get Frontmost Window Name button added just to the left of the enterable area; this puts the name of the current frontmost window into the enterable search area; great for doing searches throughout structure when currently editting a method or form;
FU4D_Find_Results.4XR:
- Sort button added to top of form allows search results to be sorted; the sorting of the search results is done alphabetically from the result names found;
FU4D_Menus.4XR:
- Command-W is no longer the default Flush Buffers catch; it is now Command- ;
- Method Properties... menu item is available with Command-; keyboard equivalent;
- Form Properties... menu item is available with Command-; keyboard equivalent;
- Find... menu item is available with Command-I keyboard equivalent;
- NOTE: on Windows, all command key equivalents are available as Control key equivalents.

SUI Say allows you to generate speech on Mac OS X (4D versions 6.8 to 2004). It has three simple commands: SUI_InitiateTTS, SUI_Say and SUI_TerminateTTS.

SUI Say can be used with OS X voices as well as other TTS engines (e.g. Cepstral).
