Experience the looks and the performance of one of the best Web browsers more>> Experience the looks and the performance of one of the best Web browsers
Discover the new standard in Web browsing. Download Opera today to get the fastest and most powerful Web browser available and make the most of your time online.
Opera is a standards-compliant Web browser for Mac OS X, Unix, Windows,QNX, Symbian, OpenBSD and several other operating systems. Opera gives you a better Internet experience with its combination of speed, unique features, and keyboard shortcuts.
Main features:>
- Fresh new look
Weve cleaned up our front yard. The Opera interface is designed to make the advanced functions easy and effective to use. Menus, toolbars and other elements have undergone our "slim and clean"-routine. The licensed version has the largest browsing area in the industry.
- Security
Stay away from spy-ware, viruses, and other malicious applications that silently attack your computer while you are surfing the Web. For example, Opera displays security information inside the address bar, located next to the padlock icon that indicates the level of security present on a site. Opera 8 also provides protection against phishing attacks and automatically checks for security updates. More about security
- Speed
Were holding on to our claim: "The Fastest Browser on Earth". In Opera 8, further improvements have been made in the way the browser reads pages to allow you to fly the Web.
- Tabbed browsing and pop-up blocking
Opera pioneered tabs and pop-up blocking ages ago. But theyre still key features that more and more people start enjoying. With tabs you can open multiple pages within the same application window. Opera lets you control whether to block all pop-ups, or open only the ones that you have requested.
- Integrated search
Search your favorite sites, for example Google, eBay, or Amazon without having to go to their Web pages. Use the integrated search window or search directly in the address field using shortcuts (e.g. writing "g Opera" in the address field will search for "Opera" using Google).
- Customization
Using the appearance dialog you can make Opera look almost any way you want. Move buttons and search fields, add and remove toolbars, and so forth. Opera skins can change the look of your browser by giving it the icons and buttons of your choice.
- Password manager
Operas password manager, the Wand, remembers your usernames and passwords so you will not have to. The password manager can store more than one username and password combination for each page, and will let you choose which one to use if multiple combinations are stored.

Fjork 1.1
Fjork - Play semi-disturbing sounds on a remote Macintosh via an invisible client and admin application more>>
It be what it is. If you have to ask what any of my software is "about", you have overestimated my intelligence.
Ok, what this app *really* does is play semi-disturbing sounds on a remote Macintosh via an invisible client and admin application.
How do I use Fjork?
Install the client on any Macintosh with Mac OS X 10.3.x and a network connection (Internet or LAN). Launch the client on that computer. It runs in the background, so it may look like nothing has happened when you launch it. For best results, add the Fjork Client to the login items of the user. Now, go to your computer, and launch the admin. You will be presented with a list of Fjork Clients that you can connect to. Choose one, and then press "Connect". Or, press "Other..." and type in the IP address of the Mac you have installed the client on. Now, choose which sound you wish to play from the popup menu, and press "Fjork". You can kill the client on the remote Mac if it appears your life may be threatened by pressing the "Kill Client" button.
Notes:
If you want to use Fjork from behind a firewall over TCP/IP, open port 7549. You can change the port number on both the client and admin by opening up the terminal application and typing in the following lines:
defaults write com.stimpsoft. fjorkclient portNumber -integer [new port number];
defaults write com.stimpsoft.fjorkadmin portNumber -integer [new port number];
Where it says [new port number], replace with the port number you wish to use. Remember, OS X will not allow applications to use port numbers below 1000.
Fjork is 159% freeware. You may redistribute the application as you see fit, without notification to myself, as long as no fee is collected.

Y Speak
YSpeak is a free computer program for speech-disabled users more>>
At its simplest, YSpeak will speak typed input, in any one of 25 different voices. Both male and female voices are provided. As the user types, YSpeak will speak the typed text either word-by-word, by line, by sentence, or when requested by the user. YSpeak will display the input text in any font, size, style, or color.
To allow someone else to read the text, YSpeak can also display the text inverted at the top of the screen, so that with the iBook display folded back, someone sitting opposite the user can read the text as it is input. To allow for a limited viewing angle, the text can also be displayed in negative.
YSpeak has two user-selectable built-in Dictionaries, one of the 1000 most-commonly used words in the English language, and one of over 25,000 words. In either Dictionary, as soon as the user types the first two letters of a word, YSpeak will invoke the Dictionaries to look up words starting with those letters, and display possible words in a separate window. The user can then select the word from this list to save typing the whole word.
YSpeak also tracks words as they are entered, and will attempt to predict the next word when one is entered. In doing this, it learns from the user.
YSpeak also has 5 separate word lists, each of which allows up to 35 words to be entered by typing a single key. Changing key lists is again invoked with a single key.

Rescue! 2.0.5
The Romulans have launched a surprise attack against several important Federation Outposts on the periphery of the neutral zone! There is only one Federation starship close enough to evacuate the more>>
Rescue! is a color-capable action adventure inspired by the Star Trek universe.
You are the Captain of the Enterprise, a powerful and complex starship. Your mission: Guide the Enterprise through hostile, enemy-infested space to each of the threatened Federation Outposts, evacuate the colonists that reside in them, and bring them to safety at a Starbase. This is a difficult assignment, Captain. YOU ARE AUTHORIZED TO USE WHATEVER FORCE IS NECESSARY TO COMPLETE THE MISSION.
Enhancements:
Bug fixes:
- There were widespread problems with the new 4 channel sounds that I introduced in version 2.0.4. These problems have for the most part been rectified. However, if you are using System 7.1.2 or earlier, its important to make sure that you have Apples SOUND MANAGER extension (version 3.0 or later) installed in your Extensions folder. (System 7.5 and later versions have the Sound Manager 3.0 built in.)
- The combination of Rescue! 2.0.5 and Sound Manager 3.0 should let most users enjoy the full 4 channel sound features of Rescue!. Some early Macs such as the Plus and SE do not have the required hardware to support multichannel sound output, however, and on these machines Rescue! will revert to the older single-channel sound format.
- Im pretty sure that other bugs such as colonists beaming halfway across the galaxy to Altair 1 etc. were related to the corruptive sound bug and should now be fixed. I have been unable to reproduce these errors in version 2.0.5. Please let me know if they are still occurring on your Mac!
- The memory requirement has been increased to 2200 K to provide some breathing room for the sounds and graphics. Black & white users still need only 1000 K.
Improvements and new features in 2.0.5:
- The wormhole graphics have been vastly improved. Check them out!
- Single and Multi Channel Output selectors have been added to the Options menu under "Sounds". You may want to switch to single channel sounds if you play Rescue! when you have other applications or extensions running which are sound intensive (such as PlainTalk.)
- Some minor tweaks and adjustments have been made to many areas of the program.
- As always, theres a couple of other new, undocumented "extras" with this version...

ADSL internet reconnect 1.0
ADSL internet reconnect checks internet connection each 1000 secs and reconnects if necessary more>>
The purpose is to avoid problems I experienced with my ADSL service provider. I got disconnected every couple of hours, and after each drop, for next 5-15 minutes the connection couldnt be established at all.
If automatic redial was applied all the time , the connection never got established. I realized that situation must be IDLE for these 5-15 minutes, in order to make a connection possible again. Same happened with 2 different ADSL modems. You can also simply edit the delay time yourself.

- And its much easier too, since it handles the migration of all your personal items and third-party extensions, printer drivers, special folders, etc.
- Now you can enjoy the stability of a Clean-Installed System Folder without the hassle of re-installing your essential additions.
Upgrading a System Folder to a new version of Mac OS often takes a lot of time, because you need to figure out which files to move to the new system and which ones to leave behind (extensions, control panels, printer drivers, application-specific items, special folders, etc ).
Clean-Install Assistant makes this process easier and faster because it does the sorting and moving automatically (using its list of factory-issue Mac OS files). Itll carefully collect your additions and move them to a separate folder while you update the System Folder, then move them back to the right places inside the new one with a single click!
Clean-Install Assistant also allows the following uses:
- Save space and backup your valuable additions and preference files only, instead of the whole System Folder!
- Install the same set of additions on multiple Macs: just copy the System Folder Additions folder to each Mac and click Add Back.
- Remove extra files and folders from your System Folder to restore it to a previous state: you can take a snapshot of the System Folder and have Clean-Install Assistant extract any items added since.
Clean-Install Assistant is free for personal and educational use. Business pricing is as follows:
- Businesses with 3 Macs or less: Free
- Consultants and businesses with 4 to 10 Macs: $50
