PlayStoreCD will allow you to listen to the thirty second previews in the iTunes Music Store without interruption. In its current incarnation, it is an app that you run while you are in the iTMS, if you are in your library it will make you play a song. If you are in the iTMS it will play through the songs you are looking at in order and repeat.
Much work is needed on this. It will soon be an applescript studio app with different settings, but for now test this. If the idea is good enough then suggest improvements.

POTO does just what its name implies -- it will tell iTunes to stop playing after the current song finishes playing.
It will start playing the selected track if the player is stopped; if no track is selected, it will play a random track. Its good like that.
Put the Play One Track Only app into the library/itunes/scripts folder of the root level of your hard drive to make the script available to all users, or of the Home folders of individual users.
It will be accessible thru the scripts menu in iTunes. Starting in OS X (or maybe with a certain version of iTunes) you dont need to quit and relaunch iTunes to use new scripts. Yay!

LongPlayer 1.0.1 is an effective program designed to automatically fill your iTunes playlist and basically replaces the randomization feature of those media players.
Those of you who have converted all of your CDs into mp3s (or wma/ogg/..) and try to shuffle songs in your big, static all-containing playlist will surely know the problem that you already heard some song. That random function just doesn't seem random enough! The main reason for this is the birthday-problem: the chances that you hear a particular song twice in, say the same day, are quite small, but the odds of ANY song playing twice in that timespan, are real, very real. Your typical media player just selects a random song from a statically generated list without saving where it last left off.LongPlayers smart queuing checks how long it has been since you heard a song, how good you think a song is and what genre you think it belongs in.
Major Functions:
- Hide: you can hide the Windows version by clicking on the tray icon
- "DJ function": in the Preferences, you can specify a song or soundbite to be queued every x songs.
