Ping Pong Delay AU 2.0.6 is launched to be a convenient stereo ping pong delay audio plugin, in Apple's OS X-native AudioUnit format. The source code for v1.0 is also available for download.

Pingling is a dockling that uses ping to test whether or not you have a working connection to the internet.

It shows the status of your connection in the Dock on a second-by-second basis.

Great for Wi-Fi users.

I wrote this because my internet service has been up and down for the last couple of weeks. Its really handy to know before you start trying to do something whether or not its going to work. Its also good for getting your iBook lined up just so to access a weak wi-fi signal.

If you deal with PNG files, you need this app.
PNG is a great format. Its lossless, patent-free, open, and supported by all sorts of stuff. Its great for screenshots, line drawings, and anything that needs to look good. Unfortunately, many programs which save to PNG format do a horrible job of it. Adobe Photoshop is one of the worst offenders, creating PNG files many times the size they should be. So we created Ping. To use it, simply drop a PNG file on it. Ping will then optimize the file, often reducing its size to a mere fraction of the original.
Unlike similar utilities, Ping is a Universal Binary. Not only that, but weve optimized OptiPNG (the underlying tech. that powers Ping) for the latest Intel chips -- taking advantage of all the cool (at least to us geeks) features thatre at the heart of Apples latest and greatest computers.

Play Pong by tilting your computer! Play alone or with a friend over a local network.

To play alone, just launch it. Tilt your computer to control the paddle. To play with a friend, make sure both of you are in the same local network. One of you has to start his copy of Pong, and the other should start his after 5-10 seconds... No other setup needs to be done!

netPong looks for an opponent the first time its launched.... If none is available, it creates a server. The next netPong application that is launched will connect to it, creating a two player game.
That gives the system opponent randomness, so every time you run it, you might get a random opponent.

Web Ping is a simple application to test an internet connection to a perticular site. I created this application after my work moved locations and half our network stayed in the old building and the other half moved with us to the new location. A flaky (significant point) VPN was set up to keep the two connected. Since a couple of the unmoved servers were of interest to me, I keeped checking to see if they were still accessable with the ping command before doing any serious work with them. A quick and pathetic Google resulted in no other program that meet my needes, so I wrote one.

Insted of doing an actual network ping, Web Ping tests a connection by downloading a web page on a given server. The size of the page and time are stored in memory and the times are graphed. In this way, sites that block network a ping can still be tracked.

Web Ping also keeps track of the largest and smallest download times per session and also tracks the max and min values currently on the graph. Times of interest are graphed in a color which represents if it is a max or a min. (see figure one). The history tab also lists all the max values as they have been recevied. A running average is also calculated with each download. The files downloaded are not processed or stored in any way. This prevents any security problems that can normaly happen in a web browser enviroment. The only two pecies of information retained about a downloaded file is the size and time.

FirePong 2.2 is an exciting and tractable game which can help you entertain yourself effectively. FirePong 2 is, as you have already figured out, a pong variant. It isn't a normal pong variant, it just started out that way. You start out with a basic slow but highly explosive fireball, and later you can a lot of different weapons and powerups that make you faster or stronger, or give you machineguns, lasers, ice balls, razor blades and so on. This game has advanced graphics including transparency and particle effects. The ball is the secondary objective, the main objective is to blow your friend or the computer opponent to pieces. It is a very small file so give it a try.
